They need to finish the Stadium, it was $500 million and looks worse than TQL stadium (which is an absolute beauty) and that stadium was only $250 million

I keep hearing this stadium is trash. Any truth to that?

It definitely has some "unforced errors" or at least compromises in its design, but a few of its more glaring problems have been fixed since it opened. The roofs (which are still only on two sides of the field, which is unlikely to change, unfortunately) are now finished which adds more cover from rain, and they replaced the seats in the supporters' section with standing-room + rails like the fans that sit... STAND there wanted to begin with.
What was great about the place from the beginning, though, is how surprisingly steep the seating is at all levels, which is great for views of the field. You really feel like you're right on top of the field even near the top rows, and for that reason alone it's just about automatically a good stadium in my book. It's not fancy, and its rough around the edges, but it's by no means a bad place to watch a game. And, unlike RFK Stadium, God rest its soul, it was built for soccer and it's not likely to disintegrate any time soon.
Of course, videos like this always ignore the parts of the stadium that the vast majority of fans actually care about, like the sightlines (great), public transit access (bit of a walk but good), and concourses (utilitarian and sufficiently wide), and insist on showing off the clubs and other such nonsense for people who aren't there to watch the game.

@@robertcarlson8867I went to the XFL opening game back in 2020. It was the first time I had been to Audi. I thought it was really nice. But it’s pretty small. It’s by far the smallest stadium DC has ever seen. Even compared to the Capital One Arena tbh. FedEx, RFK, and Nationals have been what I’ve known all my life. So when I went into Audi it felt weird. Didn’t feel like a professional sports team stadium, felt more like a fancy high school or college stadium. But I mean I guess we’re lucky enough to have it, and have all major sports in DC. Other cities have none.
