I never listened to anyone. Never listened to my teacher, parents and anyone. And I have always surpassed everyone's expectation of me. I have made so much progress in the past 16 years which most people don't make in their entire lifetime. The societies status quo does not define me and I am beyond it. I am way ahead of all my peers.

So I don't understand why anything I said would make me egotistical. Since I had to go through a lot of obstacles to be where I am today, I am free to share it. And why are you cursing me because you said my ego would be my downfall.
I have been listening to him for over 35 years, and other teachers too. I keep coming back to Osho not only because he is so intelligent and mesmerizing but also because he frees you completely! He is like the ocean, where is the boundary to the ocean! Love home dearly. Glad, we can listen to him.

I love that man. When I was young his followers set up a commune here in Australia and the local news used to harass them all the time. I wish I could have joined the commune but alas it was all over before I was old enough to leave home.
I had the same experience here in the US at 17. I even wrote to the Rajneeshpuram people about joining and received a reply, but my father intercepted it and gave me a stern talking to about cults, new religions, and how disappointed he was with me.

The path of growth as a person is also about understanding you cannot always have what you want at the expense of others; morality is important to learn as children, however beyond your growth as a good person is the realisation of your true self, which I believe he is talking about here.

yeah, only the wise and experienced can truly do what they want because what they want is aligned with their inner selves. If you do what you want as a child youre very likely to engage in self or just plain destructive behavior. Stopping to be a child is a journey in itself not the turn of a calendar. After that jopurney however you can do what you want, because you have found alignment.

Amen, Oshos message presented in this black and white way is the justification for a whole lot of confusion and spiritualised narcissism. Always doing what we want still makes us subject to what weve been conditioned to want (conditioned not necessarily by others but by life experiences, biology or simply whats in our character). Also there appears to be some kind of judgement against being conditioned by others even though this is what children are programmed to do to survive. It’s not a bad tbing. A child does not become a mindless robot the moment you condition it in any way.
@@jamesjasonallen4168 I still understand his message though. We should make time to do what we want to do and not live our whole life according to societal obligations that do not reflect who we are, or we will just die with regret at the end.
@@KuraSourTakanHour I get that thats probably what he is trying to say but the way he puts it it’s likely to confuse people. In fact I have seen some people who were inspired by Osho who were very confused and even downright abusive.

Osho is but a spokesman of life, nature, the Tao, Zen, God, godliness, truth, whatever you name it. What he says is nothing new. He does not make any rules, he simply presents rules that nature provides. The rules of nature existed before Osho, and the rules of nature continue to exist after him.
Forget old holy scriptures, holy books, old philosophies, etc. They are dead memories & belong to the past. Live spontaneously. Just be in the present, because the future is determined by the present. Be up to date everyday.

If you live in nature and have enough land with good soil quality and little bit of money either previously earned or inherited, Just grow your own food and live, which implies living a very simple life.
Because this world is already in the hands of powerful( by that I mean Riches) and if you want to have a life in this world, either you become a part of them or work for them or with them.
Or else find your own little way out of it which may involve living alone and not bending down to the ways of the world.
When you feel hungry, you would want to have food. When you don't have money, you would want money. Then you can do the existing jon as your desire. You will be doing what you wanted to do!
