Ugh me too. I used to be so upset every time I played the wrong note
Omg I feel attacked 😂😂
You forgot 'the beginner' who already plays like a professional.

Teachers get mad when you learn faster than they want to teach.
What kind of teacher is that? A keen student is a god send.
Oh my gosh did we have the same beginning teacher? She got pissed when I came back to class once a week and could play pieces that we had just started on and basically would tell me to shut up while everyone else played...and that I wasnt good enough.
she was my first teacher.
I'm always shocked I didn't quit then and there.
Flashforward 15 years later: tons of music awards later, and getting a scholarship in university to play my flute/travel around the US.
That’s why i always stay silent when my teach is doin that-
If I learn too fast then my teacher expects me to learn fast for the next lesson

Omg yes 😂 I thought „yeah that’s me!“. I am 28 and on Monday will be my third ever piano lesson. I already learned more pages in the exercise book than my teacher told me to. I am so excited and can’t wait to show her my progress 😊

The player who restarts a piece every time the mess up in the slightest
The student who gets fed up in band cause he never gets to play because others mess up and we have to restart.
Fuck, I do that a lot.
That's me
CalmWolf so me
Oh man, my little brother doesn't do this exactly, but he always calls himself out on mistakes even when he really doesn't have to XD He doesn't even do it out of frustration or anything, it's always just him suddenly stopping whatever he's doing, saying "oh, oops" or "oh, wait," and then he plays correctly and continues on with whatever he's playing, like he's audibly resetting himself. He did it once at a recital, and I at least have to give him props for not feeling embarrassed about it
My teacher asked why I didn’t practice and apparently “I didn’t want to do it” isn’t the correct answer

Are we not going to talk about how Eddy says he wants to play Frozen and not Let it Go?
😂 Yes that was funny. I would have wanted to say it that way.
Considering a lot of kids begin violin lessons at the age of 5 i think saying it like that fits because you don't really know very much details about things at such age.

Well, Eddy did a good job in impersonating a young student...

Omg 5 & 13 are so accurate lol good one guys!!!
I'd love to have Dr. Kirk Honda from Psychology in Seatle react to this. Probs some underlying issues specially for the pessimistic student. Then have Brett and Eddy react to his reaction. They'd likely get more tools to help them deal with situations, and then both student and teacher can actually have a nice productive violin lesson session.
Very useful and informative if that were to occur!

SAME my teacher literally said : oh u play so good and u practice much, not like some of the other students here: (to the student before me) i was the only other student in the room
You shouldn't feel this because most music teachers know how much does it take from someone to become good. Maybe the student before you has been playing for years and maybe when they started they were like you or not as good as u as a beginner. Same thing happened to me, I came to the violin lesson after someone who was playing arabic guitar so good that I felt ashamed and I told this to my teacher. He said well, guess what .He told me that they learned quickly but when they began their intonation wasn't that good so he told me that at least I play in tune as a beginner even though my sound is scratchy plus he told my that violin is more difficult so relax....!
You are so funny 😂I love this!
Marvelous!
I taught one of my younger students how to pizzicato a couple of weeks ago, and now it's all he wants to do, he literally won't do anything else
When I started off I only played pizzicato. Lmao.

pianists be like
piano teachers: how did you play on your keyboard
kid: I didn’t know how to tune the keyboard
piano teacher: bruh
😂
weeb piano teacher: did you practice?
student: Wheres kaori?
teacher: cries
Teacher: How did u play your piano?
Student: I don’t know how to tune it so i didnt practice
Teacher: Me neither tbh
AquaticGuy why’d you do that
The great thing is: My keyboard (as many others) can be fine-tuned. So, without using the rather unprecise pitch wheel or transposing entire semitones, I can "transpose" it by cents, and it has a selection wheel.
I sometimes like to use that when people are tuning their string instruments, because when I am in that menu and spin the wheel around, I can pretend to be "tuning" the keyboard.
It's a terrible, terrible joke, and is only a tiny little bit funny the first time, and goes downhill from there, but I still enjoy it.
