I had a few dnfs this month and few great reads i also did my reread of crecent city books one n two and i cant wait for flame n shadow i will drop everything to read this book i did preorder the Kindle version, n i got the audio book n the physical copy of flame n shadow. I also read a hockey romance called between the blue by nikki witt n i sobbed reading this book it was good

I don't think that would be for me. And I know it's an unpopular opinion but ToD is one of my favorites from ToG (even though Chaol is my least favorite character from ToG 😂)

I didn't realize until recently that there is an order to read SJM series in and I started with Crescent City. I loved it, but I wish I wasn't missing info. LOL It's too late to go back now though. I'll move on to ACOTAR after I finish Flame & Shadow.
I just finished the 3rd book in The Blood and Ash series, and they’ve been entertaining. I won’t say they’re some of the best books I’ve ever read, but they’ve peaked my interest, and man the ending of the 3rd one did knock my Sox off a bit! You’re just in a meh reading mood because you’re too excited for House of Flame and Shadow, so everything else is mediocre! 🤣
i like the blood and ash books too! need to continue that series!
i love both empire of storms and tower of dawn (maybe unpopular opinion i don't know i just really love tower of dawn) but i don't think i'll do the tandem read, i enjoyed reading them one after the other, and i just know the tandem read will confuse me 🤣
maybe it's because it's the same author yeah!
i've started the year with powerless by lauren roberts, 5 ⭐ i've only had 4 or 5 stars books so far this year which i'm super happy about!

I’m sorry, I’m so stupid with this stuff, but… what’s a tandem read? Are you… reading both at the same time? I took your earlier advice on reading The Assassin’s Blade before Throne of Glass, so when I read ToG recently for the first time, it just felt so much more meaningful. So I’m very keen on your insight on how to read these books 😂
You’re not stupid at all, this is a good question! i should have explained more lol. Yes it is read both books at the same time, but there is a chapter by chapter guide. The events in both books coincide, so you can follow the timeline better by doing the tandem read, but it can get confusing on which chapters to read when and when to switch between the books. For a first time reading through the series, I think i would recommend reading Empire of Storms and then going into Tower of Dawn. But if you decide you want to do the tandem read I can send you the link to the chapter guide! Hope this helps!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
