I loveeee these in depth pregnancy videos so much! Kind of unrelated but I have one 16 mo little boy and really want to start trying for another but I'm so nervous because we don't have the family help that I feel like all of my friends have and you give me soo much hope. Even before the twins, you and Jordan raising the boys far from family is so inspiring for me 🥹 watching this video just really reminded me of that.

So happy to hear how everything is going!!! Your doctors sound very on top of everything!
My daughter (twin A) was also a few days behind her brother for the majority of my pregnancy. They said as long as it’s within a week they weren’t concerned. Their heads squished together - might end up with little flat spots ☺️
My son (twin B) had an almost completely flat right side of his head when he was born. Doctor said he was pressed against my pelvis due to the lack of room. It was all cosmetic and very common for twins. It rounded out and looked normal by 3 months old - he just wore lots of little soft hats until then 😊
Sending you love and good vibes for the rest of your pregnancy ❤️

When I was pregnant with my son, his movement in the womb was very similar to your Baby B. And now that kid literally never stops running around and being wild 😅 (my son is about 2wks older than Arlo) so I know 2yr olds are high-energy in general. It just brought back all my pregnancy memories.
So glad to hear both babies are growing & developing on track 💓

My twins we never did see their faces and we had lots and lots of ultrasounds everyweek. Our baby B flipped constantly everyday up till birth. I was able to deliver both Vaginally and safely . 33 weeks small and 5-6 weeks in NICU but they are strong healthy and growing strong now at 7 months. You’d never know 🥰

Thanks for your wonderful videos and sharing so much of yourself with us.
10.3 weeks with di/di twins. We had a miscarriage a few months ago, which was devastating. So definitely feeling the same anxiety and worry you did.
Waiting on NIPT to come back right now. We did a 6 week sneak peak gender test which showed girls so we'll see if NIPT confirms or not!
I have a sort of sensitive question. This is only the 4th video I've watched on your channel: labor, nicu graduation, 1st trim recap, and now this 2nd trimester video. So I saw you talk about some of the issues with Soleil. And now seeing you had a normal NIPT and a normal anaromy scan. So, have you ever wondered why they didn't pick up on anything with the anatomy scan and all the other scans?? Did you ever do any genetic testing after delivery and NICU? What do they think happened in the womb to cause those issues? Because she had extra fluid so she shouldn't have been growth restricted right?
You may talk about this in another video, and I have the next 6 months to watch all of them.
    Appreciate your time!

I felt like that my second pregnancy too. I now have two boys and my first boy we just clicked I just felt like so much fulfillment and connection it was incredible and my second baby boy I didn’t and even when he was born I of course loved him so freakin much but I didn’t have that instant connection and I felt so so guilty for that for the longest time. Now he just turned one and his little smile and sweetness I just learned we connect differently. He’s his own little person he’s not his brother and I love him for him. But the guilt around the lack of connection really hit for awhile in the beginning.

Love you, have watched you for years! From one twin Mama to another get yourself a twinz pillow. Whether you use it to tandem breastfeed or bottle you will love it. Remember how much you loved you boppy with Christian it’s like that but perfect for twins. Mine are 16 months and we still use it. 🥰

    Yay! 🩷
Also recommend pelvic floor pt and Webster certified chiropractor. Helps a LOT. I definitely should have done it through pregnancy and not just postpartum.
I hope this doesn't come off wrong, but as a vbac mom I can't not say something. Especially when you live in an area with providers who DO have the skills and support you need for normal twin birth.
The way you are talking about attempting vaginal birth... it sounds like classic grooming for cesarean on the part of your provider tbh. It's a LOT harder to heal from and having even one little to care for that was a big motivator for me. My core didn't even feel usable until 6 months postpartum with my first and I was back to normal in like 4wks with my second even after not resting enough. My surgical adhesions from my first still cause me daily discomfort. I did get all feeling back because of early and frequent scar massage but I still get nerve damage tingles and weird stuff.
Contact Dr. Stu and chat or listen to the podcast he did not too long ago over on Birthful as a part of her care provider series. The one with mfm Dr. Brad Bootstaylor is very useful too.
Basically providers need to be upfront about their skill set. What percentage of twins does that provider birth vaginally would be a great question. Also open ended questions like what is your view on twin birth. Don't mention what you want just get their view and standard practice. Additional questions would be are you trained in twin b breech/transverse extraction or physiological birth? It sounds like you already have that answer btw. What kinds of decals and length of decals are concerning to you? What percentage of accuracy do you usually see on growth scans and how confident are you in using that for judgment calls? Straight up how many twin births do you do each year? Are you excited about them or do they scare you?
Do some research on electronic fetal monitoring and it's accuracy too. Get yourself a doppler or fetoscope to use at home between appointments. Fetoscope won't annoy the babies with high frequency ultrasound waves. :)
I'm pretty on the side of let's use a little as possible and I totally used my dopplar twice in my sons pregnancy because he's my rainbow baby.
Do they have any tips on preventing preterm labor or are we just fear mongering about it?
Things like enough protein fat and hydration can have a huge impact on going to term.the Brewer diet website and that book Twins, Triplets, and Quads both have very good info on how diet rest and hydration can help.
I'd be worried about irritating the cervix with internal ultrasounds. And infection risk is present anytime we insert something outside our normal biome as a couple. Evidence based birth has a great article on pre-labor vaginally exams. I personally would not be comfortable taking on that risk, BUT if it's reassuring and you understand and are willing to accept the risks of possible infection, irritating the cervix possibly leading to changes go for it! This is where our intuition and connection to our babies comes in to play. The fear from previous loss can absolutely cloud judgement and is a mind game. I had to really work through it several times in pregnancy.
Again I don't care what you or anyone else chooses but I care very deeply that everyone have the best possible information to make the choices that are safest and best for them. No one can make choices for anyone else and you deserve the best.
If you ever need an impartial ear to freak out to I would be happy to lend an ear. Everyone deserves the support they need. I hope you can relax and enjoy because this sounds like a wonderful healthy pregnancy. Keep on doing what you are doing and I hope for the best birth and postpartum!!
