- The things you find in the woods. One of the scariest and most creative features I've ever ridden.

Finally, somebody who is honest and dares to say "I don't do this" on camera.
I love, love, LOVE, when you approach something, consider it, and ultimately go "nah". It's a commendable amount of restraint that more people need.
happens when you get older and don't want to wait a year for injuries to heal that used to heal in 2 months :/
"Dangerous" Dave
@@rubenz9816 you say that but you wouldn’t do any of this would you
@@rubenz9816 Dangerous. Not deranged.
@@eldercat5863 I don't call myself dangerous lol. But I do like mtb jumps. Also, I'm just joking around.
is it just me or is the sound the bike makes when running over mud and sticks the most satisfying sound ever
One of my fav things about these videos
It's the thumping of tires over rocks for me
Yeah. The rocks. Buhddddddddddddddddnt
All sounds of a mountain bike are satisfying
Not just you
I'm more of a hiker/trekker, and honestly before seeing your vids I always thought of mountain bikers as hotheads, but y'all are just as chill as the rest of us mountain enjoyers it turns out
I just love being outdoors whether on two feet or two wheels 👍
I upgraded to mtb after being a hiker for a long time. I just realized i like going fast and id rather be zooming than walking. Still go on a hike every now and then to get outside.
@@Spamua13nice bro enjoy!
get a bikeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
From my experience it's the hikers that act like Karens and like they "own" the trail. Not saying all of them but I've been b1tched at by a hiker ON A MTB TRAIL 😂 I was flabbergasted! 😂😂
4:55 This is the most important lesson for solo rides. Thank you!
Yes.
for real.
I truly appreciate you show your thought before doing a jump, or something dangerous, and you aren't afraid to bail on something that isn't smart for your situation.
and craziest part is go pro effect doesnt do these obstacles justice!
These trail videos are real fun to watch. The activity itself lives somewhere inbetween "this looks fun" and "yea but I would die tho".
I am bed bound with severe ME, so I can't get out, but I love the feeling of freedom and fun that you share with your videos. Thank you so much!
Loved the trail and the riding. So much cool woodwork. Thank you as well for showing again that there's no shame in walking away from a feature that you aren't feeling that day or has just too much risk for the situation you are riding in. (And damn that one rockface looked steep. I can't even imagine how steep it must have been in real life.)
If someone didn't already say it in the 500+ comments I will. This was like watching a bike themed Indiana Jones movie. The biking was great and I couldn't wait to see what crazy ancient trick feature was around the next corner. Nice work as usual!
I admire your skill level, and respect for smart choices not to ride things "out of your domain", keep great content coming ;)
That skinny at 3:07 was insane even with the go-pro effect, couldn't imagine it in real life lol- I would never hit that! Specifically the belt feature, that looked really gnarly.
Man that belt on that old wooden feature!!! Nice work 🎉
so exciting! i admire the control u have on the mountain. i respect how u know limits and make smart decisions involving risks, especially since many aspiring mountain bikers watch ur videos. people get so hurt doing dumb stuff, and u inspire people to consider risks.
Much love and respect to the short kings out there kicking ass and making sweet content! Dudes don't get enough recognition out here.
Man, your riding continues to amaze me. I had some serious anxiety just watching you ride a few of those features!
I knew the bottom looked familiar from the Loam Ranger. Smart man to not take chances riding solo. It's more fun to ride tomorrow than get hurt.
Yeah, I thought I recognized it from Ryan, Eric, Yuka, and Antoine riding there, then Dave said the bit about the air ambulance and I was sure it was the same step-up.
Love seeing you ride Moose! Never seen someone clean the SLF skinny before. Great riding!
I love seeing the trail progression! I'm always seeing videos where dudes blow through the trail nbd, cool seeing the way it actually is
so crazy seeing the different skills and comforts of riders. I'd rather go at the step up than like ANY of the skinnys you do haha
i haven't 'mountain-biked' since I was 15 and I'm hitting 36 now, but these vids really enable me to live just a little bit precariously through you, thanks! =)
Get a bike and get out there. The learning curve is fast. I started at 47.
That first set of features was so sketch and I love the way you did it, I wouldn’t have! As a relative beginner MTBer seeing guys like you clearly better than me still have those notes, doubts and multiple attempts is rlly encouraging
This is my favourite CZcams channel by far,
easily the best quality of content I've seen from a mountain biking channel
Keep up the good work Dave! 👍
All three of them: Dale Stone and VanCan also!
Dangerous Dave: I have a kid in day care
Me: wow. that IS dangerous!
As someone who has been skiing their whole life I find your videos very exciting to watch even though I have no interest in taking up mountain biking as a sport.
I enjoyed this as your virtual passenger. Thanks for being conscientious and keeping us safe! 😄
this is simply mind boggling how good this guy is.
fax
A really nice video. I am injured right now so this felt a little like riding myself :) I also appreciate how you addressed not to take risks, when biking alone!
Oh my goodness, this is scary to watch, no matter ride. I'm glad you didn't take certain risks being alone & under the weather. Passing on such wisdom to others around safety & riding within one's limits is extremely important to avoid injury or even death.
I'm a lifelong roadie and got my first MTB last month. I've only been out on my own (Las Vegas) a few times and I quickly realized I have little idea of what I am doing! The way you break down things and explain your approach is very helpful.
Great stuff man! Respect for not doing anything too stoopid😄sometimes it’s so tempting 🤘🏻
idk why but this is the calmest mtb vid ive ever seen watched the whole thing without any skips and was glued ngl voice was kinda soothing w vid
Man I love your vids. youre safe and sensible but still awesome fun to watch cause youre so skilled!!! Keep up the great work
There's something soothing about your voice: like an anime villain character that becomes your friend.
this guy's self control is unbelievable. to look at something, KNOW you could do it, think that it looks so fun, and still decide not to just because you know how wrong it could go. that is seriously 1 in a million. i could never do that, and neither could anyone else watching.
I absolutely admire your intelligence, and forethought, towards sketch things. It shows you are using your brain! To have fun does not mean you have to forego caution.
I gotta say this had me on the edge of my seat and nervous the whole time I was watching this! I'm a skier who skis the trees, but this was nerve-wracking to watch!
This trail is why I still run old school bar widths. Love this trail so much and been riding forever. 🤘🏼
Run a 700 on my hardtail and it feels like a perfect balance.
I love the ride along. Thanks you sharing the ride
Your videos are very soothing for my mental health and fun for my disabled soul.
this dude's channel is such a chill and pleasant vibe
Watching your riding is so sick i love the watching the raw riding and editing style
Very cool Trail. Thx 4 sharing & get well soon 👊🏽
I've never really thought about mountain biking before but your videos make it seem so interesting
Greay riding as usual! I think you made the right call not jumping the big step up while being alone. I have seen people with a lot oess ability hit it on video before so I'm sure you'd have no issue, but i agree it's better to be extra cautious when by yourself.
Love your chuckle when you accomplish a jump or something that was really hairy. Stay safe!!!
Some of those man-made obstacles… I have to ask what were they thinking? IMHO, any obstacle that interferes with the intended trail flow should be removed or modified to accommodate the flow. You can have more technical sections on the same trail, for sure, but those should be marked as such so you know a particular section is gonna be slow and technical. And, even for those, there should be a go-around if you just wanted to continue riding along with the flow. Great video - love your approach to solo riding. Clearly a man with a family!
The big northamerican woods and hills make mountainbiking so casually doable I am getting envious
i like how your name is dangerous dave and yet you make some of the most sound decisions to guard your mortality that many others wouldnt
Epic video man! Thanks for posting
Glad I found your channel. Awesome riding, love your style!
i got myself recently a used mtb scott, can't wait to ride it!
Always cool to see my local-ish trails! Have you ever done the Jumpingpound to Cox Hill route? Less intense than what you normally post but it's a great ride with a long descent at the end, my favourite trail around here
i dont even know ow to ride a normal bike but im addicted to these videos lol, keep on with the good content man!
I still need to get up to Moose (from Lethbridge). Super cool trails and some crazy woodwork! Reminds me of all the old school mtb I grew up with. Happy riding!
Dave you never cease to amaze me man ! I suck at skinny's so I live vicariously through you mostly. Alot of times i'm squirming in my seat like I'm in some sort of pain and making all kinds of vocal noises when I am watching your videos and my wife gives me looks at me like I'm from Mars. Great ride
I never was into that stuff, but since a few days, I only watch stuff like that - great video :)
It would be so satisfying to watch someone extremely talented ride this with perfect accuracy
I was at the Valmont bike park in Boulder a couple years back and there's this little skills practice trail with a log (it's flattened on top and stuck to the ground -- you're no more than like 8" off the ground when you're on it.) I'd never ridden one (just not common here, at least on trails I have ready access to) and consider myself to have good balance, so I cavalierly rolled onto it at probably
Agree with See Wut, respect for the restraint and putting safety above all else. Live to ride another day :) Excellent video btw
Bro my hands were sweating watching that sketch section at the beginning. Nice work!
wow man lots of respect for this. just subbed! i can already tell im gonna get addicted to these videos lol
Loved the downhill vibes i think organising a mine downhill competition with friends there would be great, certainly make for an amazing video
gnarly trail! thanks for sharing it with us
I don’t know why, but I watch his videos before bed because the sound of the wheels on sticks, rocks, and dirt is satisfying to me, but he always ends up stressing me out with those jumps, yet I STILL DO IT. I DONT KNOW WHY I WAS BORN THIS WAY.
Great trail. I have never seen a belt used before. Very impressive how you navigated that skinny! Sad to see so many wooden features broken. Hopefully some of them can be repaired in the not so distant future.
I hike the Colorado mountains and bike in my city but you inspiring me to take my bike to the mountains and see what I can do 💯 thanks Homie I appreciate you
Holy crap, your amazingly talented. I’m watching the video and I’m just thinking to myself how much willpower, strength and agility you have to be daring enough to bring yourself to do this. Me personally,I always like to try so I’d totally do it but I know I’d be the slowest one there cause my breaks would be on 90% of the time
Your skills are amazing - that woodwork looks so gnarly
Thanks for the ride.
Impressive! Love watching the madness. Never did anything like tis.
Fantastic ride, you deserve lots of 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍for that ride. Goodonya from Oz
Hi, Dave! 👋
Nice place there, man!
I wish I had the chance to ride my bike on this kind of terrain and trails.
Greetings from Romania 🇹🇩
🚴♂️Ride safe! 🙏
I love the fact you say don’t do stupid stuff, while riding by yourself, I have to stop and pass on things when I’m out by myself
I'm not really into mountain bikes. Dirtbikes are faster, and doesn't require pedalling. But your videos are very relaxing to watch. I love it man
Good job Dave. Respect💪👍
Incredible Dave!
I’m too stoned for this but I can’t stop watching. Great content dude.
During the video when you ride t-dub and you where talking about the wood work that goes nowhere, it used to go down the river bed to the gully. There is a sick set of gaps and a whale tale
This guy is so chill and I love it
just got into mountain biking a few weeks ago and i wouldnt die from a bike falling on me on this trail, i would die from the pure anxiety of this trail
Just started riding and this made me even more nervous about going on trails 😂
brilliant.. looking good!
Its a smart rider, a smart man period that knows when not to do it if it doesn't feel quite right! Kudos to you!
Stunning trail! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Escalated super quick, good job
OMGosh that intro! Instantly shat my pants. Cam setup looks great!
love it! sick trail!
love ur restraint with hard stuff. bro is goated tho. this trail is ungodly lol
Bro. Your skills are through the roof. Great job brother.
bloody love it dave never stop what you do ...longside bristol uk ♥
Amazing riding mate 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Nice ride, interesting upper trail! Dangerous can also be safe & fun.
Stress less, ride more! Stay safe.
So good to see you riding Moose !!!
Dude, you slayed those skinnies!! that was impressive riding! What a cool and crazy trail!
So tight! I wish I had gotten into MTB when I still lived in Alberta. Although now I get to ride the North Shore a few times a week so I can't complain.
That's a nice bike Dave!
I loved this and it was so relaxing
Sorry to have missed that day! Man you killed those skinnies. Come on back and we'll check that step-up off the list.
I'll watch you hit it 😜
Finally!!! A proper video of SLF. I'm too chicken to ride the trail and I've always wanted to know what was down it. I'm sure it's way gnarlier than your video makes it out to be. Also, you made T-dub look like a cake walk. Hats off, sir. Love your vids, btw!
