  • In 2006, Pinnacle released a trio of teardrop-shaped analog-to-digital converters: Dazzle DVD Recorder, $49 (model number DVC 100), Dazzle Video Creator, $79 (model number DVC 130) and Dazzle Video Creator Platinum, $99 (model number DVC 170).
The red DVC 100, as well as its siblings DVC 101, DVC 103 and DVC 107, output digital video in uncompressed form and require USB 2.0 High Speed or faster connection.
The blue DVC 130 and the platinum DVC 170 compress video while digitizing it, and send it over USB in compressed form. The WISChip GO7007SB used in these converters is advertised to "deliver A/V synchronization with with error resiliency" for "irregular HSYNCH video sources", which to me indicates TBC-like functionality.
I tried using the DVC-170 with Windows 7 and Windows 10.

They liked rounded shapes back then. I have a more professional-looking box with aluminum case from another brand. Too bad I was only able to use it on Win2K, it was designed for Win98. Now it is a useless paperweight. I expected the DVC-170 to work at least on Win7/32. Not sure why it did not.
