I'm here for Bonsai Q, but I'm really here for Hiruma-san's Zelkovas. Like Mountain Maples and Chojubai, Zelkovas do really well here in the UK and I know wnow why more people don't have them. All of the training techniques Hiruma-san shows can be done in the UK and I know because I've tried them!

Such beautiful trees 🌳 are they usually started from seed or from cuttings to make those small bonsai? Also, is there an ideal number of branches to have coming out of the trunk at one point if you are making it a broom style? Thanks!
実生のケヤキを挿し木して作る方法もありますし、横根を育てて直根を切る方法もあります。
最初の枝は2股が多いですが、1本でも大丈夫です。それは作る人の好みですね。
