- Puna deserves a medal! Only a loving tiger mum like Puna could put up with these two boisterous boys behaviour! Toba and Kubu (12 weeks old) have boundless energy and unless they are actually asleep seem totally unable to sit still! In the 1st part of this video the boys are meant to be having their 'brunch', but seem so easily distracted!

OMG, super cute! Tiger mom is proud, patient and happy to play with the kids... Kids are very hyper with an attention span of 10 seconds max....Family Hide and Seek was cute.... The cubs are also fighting for a nipple, they want THAT nipple to suckle from, lol.

Mother tigers have to put up with a lot of nonsense! The cubs like to pounce on their mom's and bite their ears and tails and when the tigress is tired of all the club's antics she swats them with her huge paws.

What's the size of the sanctuary? Not that it could compensate for the cats' loss of freedom.

Our sanctuary is approximately 36 acres in size, although this land is not currently all in use, we do have perimeter space into which we could expand in the future. We are in complete agreement with you that in an ideal world there would be no wild cats in captivity. Sadly, we do not live in an ideal world and The Big Cat Sanctuary is home to wild cats for that reason. We endeavour to support global conservation initiatives to help maintain genetic diversity in the captive population of endangered cats as well as protecting the populations remaining in their natural habitat where they truly belong. The sizes of our enclosures are regulated as we are members of BIAZA who monitor the levels of husbandry and environment provided to our resident cats. All our enclosures exceed the sizes stipulated and we also pride ourselves on tailoring our enclosures to suit the specific species of cat living in them. Providing the best possible life for our cats in captivity is one of our four pillars of ethos, it is of the utmost importance. We thank you for your enquiry and would like to you to feel reassured we would also like to see wild cats living safely in the wild in the future, but in the meantime, we are doing the best we can to keep our cats happy and healthy.
