This is a journey through the world we live in, and beyond. It's what I always thought of when I listened to this song.
EDIT: If you like this video I put together, consider a dollar or two at my personal starving artist fund :D

I used Google Images to find every picture on here. I downloaded 125 pictures, and used 71 in the video.
I thought I should credit these amazing photographers and artists that made this video possible, so here's a text file where you can find the source for each picture (or as many as I could track down):

Enjoy the show! I made this over about a week.

If the Universe had a theme song, this would be it.
Gus W I’m guessing it’s a whole measure of rests.
💯
It has and this is it!
It does and it is.
I just said goodbye to my bestest good friend of 14 years. Her name was Elora and I was there the night she tumbled out of her mama. When I listen to this song I think of the journey her beautiful spirit is making. I want to feel what she's feeling, free of pain and suffering. Oh my God Elora I miss you so much. You'll always be right by my side baby. Love, your dad.
Bless you
...It's the end of the line...But when your mind are in silence you will feel her through your blood pumping hearts as long you still alive.
you made me cry at work
Elora may we all join you one day let us go be with the ones we love ❤️ God Be The away
Damn bro
That hurts to read
The world misses who we never met?

indeed. I very much enjoyed that station as much as PLR 😂
Same I was playing that game one day and All of a sudden this came on and my childhood came back to me
@@garrett7783 this was your childhood? Dang, crash bandicoot and sonic the hedgehog was mine. You had it made, I couldn't play games where you can just run over people as a kid 😢
@@badcornflakes6374I think he meant hearing this song made his childhood come back to him.
All I can hear is 'this is art bell and you're listening to Dreamland' hahaha classic
RIP Art Bell. He died on Friday, April 13, 2018
You mean Whitley strieber
@@dhamaryder no, Art Bell created dreamland
East of the Rockies youre on the air!
Every Sunday night
This is my favorite from Art Bell's Dream Land...I sure miss him and the great topics he had
Art Bell Dreamland!
This was a great addition to GTA4, it fit very well in the backdrop of the ever dreary, dark city. Lynch should be privileged to have been featured in such a masterpiece of a game :')
It’s so underrated nowadays. I wish people would stop caring so much about flying motorcycles and start playing the masterpiece that is gta 4.
More fun for us my friend
I think the game was privileged to use his music, not the other way around.
"Good evening everybody, welcome to yet another dreamland"
takes me back to Art Bell every time - FROM THE KINGDOM OF NYE
My late father was an avid dreamland listener back in the 90s . He always slept with the radio on and I always remember hearing this coming from my parents bedroom as a kid
Sorry for your loss, he and Art are probably in Dreamland having some great discussions
Sorry for your loss, he and Art are probably in Dreamland having some great discussions
The memories as a teenager staying up late and listening to Art Bell on 570 KVI in Seattle Washington. Happy times.
Welcome to Dreamland...
Harrison William Thorburn "but first, let me tell you about C. Crane radio..." late night AM radio was the best
RIP Art Bell. He died on Friday, April 13, 2018
Harrison William Thorburn Whitley streiber
@@awesome220 Art Bell before Whitley
they had a radio station in the game that played nothing but ambient or instrumental pieces. the DJ was a computer voice that said weird things that made you think... kind of. all i can say is... when you are driving around in a living virtual city in the rain watching pedestrians and traffic react to itself without your interference while listening to music like this... it is beautiful and amazing.
OrganicMachine what a world we're riding, eh?
“The cosmic egg is cracking”
The journey was the one and only radio station for me in GTA IV, it made the game feel that bit more magical.
Damn so nostalgic
Truth.
The Journey Radio in GTA IV brought me here.
Me too
Angel Christov same
+Jeremy M whitley streiber use for dreamland show
Angel Christov haha me too

""You are traveling through space,

Synths, arpeggios, delay, echo, strings, pads, space music, mind bending. Thanks to a cool dad who bought this tape when it came out, and forever influenced my life.
Jacob Miller mine did too, I'm so happy to have found it, I've been searching for a while
i remember my mother had this tape and i randomly listened to it one day back in the 90s. cant believe i found the album again
Where do you get one of those?
My dad got me this cd in 1995 and this took me back to that day. I miss that time.
Art Bell 's "Dreamland" theme music - RIP AB
this song reminds me of my dad....he died in 05' and honestly used to listen to this song when i was little all the time...i never knew what it was called until right now...omg, it makes me so happy hearing it again
Beautiful song
Wow brings back late night memories of art bell
Art Bell's Dreamland.
that's what brought me here
steelviper1 yes!!
RIP Art Bell. He died on Friday, April 13, 2018
I recall 1989 a stranger asked me to listen to this song while at the Peachtree Train Station in Atlanta, GA. I told him I liked it and he gave me the cassette album. I have been a Ray Lynch fan ever since!
East of the Rockies, you’re on the air.
I remember as a child my mother playing this at the beach while the seagulls hovered around us and danced in the air to it.
RIP Art Bell
Some people really, and I mean REALLY just don't understand how beautiful Grand Theft Auto actually can be. I am proud to say that Grand Theft Auto IV brought me here. :)
Natalie Brown they just have issues.
The Journey is the only radio I listen to every time I play. It adds a special touch to driving through Liberty City. GTA IV is special, one of my favorite games.
yeah it's like u
Thank you for the am company, Mr Bell
One of my favourite tracks from my favourite radio station on GTA 4 - The Journey. Sometimes videogames introduce you to some of the best music!
this is, bar none, the most beautiful song my ears have ever received
The vast epic of the universe, starting from the blue ocean, passing through the clouds and dust, slowly flashing a ray of dazzling light, and beginning to enter the void, the huge deep resonance continues to rise and swirl, endless wandering, with no end...
I think sometimes songs find you, instead of you finding them. This is one of those songs for me
"You're listening to Dreamland with Art Bell...."
just a reminder about this song
I heard this when I was traveling at night through the mountains in Argentina
The 'Oh of Pleasure' still remains the most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard. It invokes the very essence of Pure Love. I am so grateful that at this time of barbaric expression that we are reminded that our essence IS that Love!
agreed!!
Don’t think I’ve ever cringed so hard at a comment
@@iamsovereign2612 Your name is I am Sovereign... and she made you cringe? Why dont you go fuck off lol
Bobby White nobody older than 2 should have the name ‘Bobby’. Your name is Robert.
Also, “I am Sovereign” is a quote from sovereign, a reaper from mass effect. It’s literally just a video game quote. Not a self-descriptive statement.
But yeah, I cringed bad at this comment, then 11 months later I’d forgotten about it until today. Now I get to cringe all over again. Cheers.
@@iamsovereign2612 that explanation is even more cringe 😬
My soul is enriched, enhanced, expanded by your video and Ray Lynch's beautiful music. Thank you.
This is my selection to be played at my funeral. It expresses God in me heart. September 10th 2022. Amen.
RIP Art Bell,, first heard this on his show
From the high desert and the great American southwest.
No that's coast to coast. This was on his show Dreamland.
With the "pipes" of Ross Mitchell: Now, here's Art. "From the Kindom of Neigh" RIP Art Bell. He died on Friday, April 13, 2018. I will woefully miss that guy. He could have come back with Cumulus and had hundreds of stations day 1. He never did.
There will never be another Art Bell.
Listening to art bells show intro music brought me here ❤️
GTA IV BROUGHT ME HERE!
And I'm one of them, haha. Never played it. Still a bit puzzled how this song would be on a game called "Grand Theft Auto" - but hey, what really matters is that we all appreciate the music, right? :)
I know I’m 8 years late, but try playing the fourth instalment, it is such an amazing experience.
Such a fantastic game, yes it's crazy and violent I suppose but it has depth to its dialogue and characters. Songs that are reflective in nature such as this masterpiece fit in with the game's story.
You do not thumbs down/dislike a good song like this! You just don't!
Now we live in a time where videogames are approaching the world of art... It's good that people learn about good music through games, it only shows the greatness of the fact that each form of culture travels within another form of culture... I got into 80's music in 2002 with GTA:Vice City.. Music, videogames, popular culture, fine arts, it's all great..
Use to listen it in Art Bell's Dreamland loooong time ago. Lovely theme.
Cyclops there ... Cyclops there... Cyclops there....
holy shit this is bringing me back to the mid 90's
FUCKINGGGGG AMAZZZZZINGGGGGG
my dad played art bell all the time back in the day and whitley strieber
This entire journey album took me on some amazing journeys while trying to fall asleep as a child. Deep oceans, snowy mountains, desolate deserts.. Thank you Ray Lynch!
Omg ive been listening to this song for about 2 years now and today is the first day im listening it with headphones, i feel like i discovered a new dimension
me and my dad would sit together and listen to this song without a care in the world
I love to listen to this when I write... It helps me set the mood for my characters, considering one of them is fairly hard to get into their mind. But when I listen to this, inspiration starts flooding my mind, and I feel as if I can write the most breath taking things... It's amazing, really. Thank you so much, Ray Lynch
Wow when I first bought this was on cassette deck mid 80's my fav song on entire album.
"An awakening of a part of the mind as yet not mapped. Things seen at the edge of vision ..."
@UFO'S ARE REAL!!! Art was always seeking the answer to "is this life all there is?". I hope he finally got his answer.
Wow. I think it has been almost 10 years since I heard this on Musical Starstreams back in the day.
ANYBODY UP FOR SOME RAY LYNCH.....ITS BEAUTIFUL
"Welcome.......to Dreamland!"
:-D
wow. taking me way back. "From the Kingdom of Nye"
The most beautiful music I have ever let into my ears. My wedding album also.
Welcome to Dreamland. A program dedicated to an examination of areas of the human experience not easily nor neatly... put in a box! Things seen at the edge of vision, awakening a part of the mind as yet not mapped and yet things every bit as real as the air we breathe, but don't see.
Here in the finals months of 2019. Such a Heavenly song. It takes u outside the Realm of Reality. Discovered from GTA 4 in 2014. Thank u Ray Lynch
I remember listening to this growing up, it was one of the first CD's that I owned, when a CD player was as big VCR. haha
Ah. This is one of my childhood songs. I used to listen to this all the time.
I discovered Ray Lynch while I was in high school. Without a doubt my current musical taste has been influenced by this style of music, 20 years later. There is an epic quality to vast instrumentals that cannot be beat. Mozart and Beethoven would approve.
Bryan Duggan I often wonder what Beethoven would think of electronic music. I think he might be really into it.
Whenever I hear this I think of Art bell some of you young bucks might never have heard of him 😔 I'm sorry you missed out on this radio genius 😔
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I remember being a child and listening to it. gives me so much nostalgia 😢🥺
>turn off sound effects
>turn up music volume
>tune to The Journey
>drive around with cinematic camera turned on
Damn, GTA IV was a masterpiece.
First heard this in the 80s when my mom would play it in the car, and I keep coming back to it whenever I need a little escape.
Every time I hear this I think of staying up and listening to Art Bell’s Dreamland crackle through the radio on WLAP, Lexington Ky. Hope he’s found all the answers he was looking for. God speed, Mr Bell.
He got me into this song. I think of what Dr. Evelyn Paglini said of her predictions, even Jonathan Reed and Travis Walton's abduction. The Area 51 frantic caller. Hearing him concerned about The Sounds of Hell and EVPs makes me wonder everytime where he's at.
The Sasquatches Recordings made me a believer, I'm 400 miles from Roswell NM hearing him and seeing Arts Parts makes me think Art Bell was doing the right thing and passing on the information to me. I only knew him for this long and he is missed by me. My friends uncle had an experience with Sasquatch enough for him to NOT go fishing in Colorado.
Art Bell would be so proud of the Silverton Colorado Sasquatch sighting. I also didn't know this song is on my favorite GTA IV game. It makes me feel like "I should've been more open to new music"

Decades ago when the world was falling apart this tune helped me keep it together.
Thanks Lazlow and the rest of you guys at ZiT! :)

flying through the air in the helicopter. just chilling, looking at the city go by beneath me, its beautiful up here
Used to listen to this all the time as a child then forget it then one day playing gta 4 I heard it on this radio station on the game and figured it out
If anyone needs answers to some of the countless mysteries of life, listen to this song. You, at least, find the answer to a question: "Is there music that excites us?" Yes.
Greetings from Brazil.
Excellent video. Greatest music ever.
Its my favorite song for its deepness. Yet, somehow it makes me feel very sad.
2wMaliman I understand.
There's nothing quite like the feeling of flying in a helicopter at night looking at the beautiful, photorealistic version of New York City's skyline :')

GOD DAMN THIS IS THE MOST INCREDIBLE SONG OUT THERE ON YOTUBE ! LYNCH CAN MAKE GOOD MUSIC !
Try listening to this at night either on road, by air or by boat, very peaceful...
Ray lynch is a music genius
Never thought I’d see a place where I’d find GTA4 and Art Bell fans, never thought I’d be both either haha
Wonders Of Life brought me here.
Yep, I was gonna say, it was WAY BEFORE GTAIV had this in, it was used at the now defunct Wonders Of Life Pavillion.
Great music is truly transformative. Ray hears things that the rest of us can only guess at. I've been a Ray Lynch fan for years, but I had never heard the interview linked at the beginning of the comments section. A remarkable man.
Most people do not know that he lost his studio and many of his master tapes in the terrible California wildfires last year.
R.I.P Art Bell .... thank you Ray....
Been a favorite for years! The high notes stretching the way they do...shivers. Love it.
Just started playing GTA IV again on my Xbox s series and decided to look this track up with my not so smart phone that I didn't have when I played it on 360. Better Days.. this was my favorite track on the journey.. and one of my favorite tracks in the game.
Never knew this was on GTA IV. I have been listening to Art Bell Dreamland since early 2022. It's an amazing song especially being part of many childhoods.
This song hurts my soul it's so beautiful.. :(
Thumbs up if you were guided here by a voice in the night.

I really enjoyed this presentation. Pictures and all it was awesome.
how can i say this so earth being can understand? this is one of the most mind compelling compilations if ever had the pleasure to listen to..Ray Lynch tosses out his utter soul into his work.his music brings our minds to an utter relaxed state..he shows us peace and tranquility.HE reminds us of the powerful things going on around us..Most certainly one of my favs for space music..
Put the Big Breakfast CD on before you go to bed. Turn off the light and drift into a dream. You'll pleasantly surface to awareness as this track comes on.
