Like the video, love the car! I own an almost identical R8, and I have been back and forth about the whole supercar label thing. I have realized that the question to me isn't "is it a supercar" but "does it feel like a supercar". I have had friends, people on the streets and even kids knocking on my door, asking to take pictures of it. To me, that makes it feel like a supercar, regardless of any definition by performance figures. It's to the supercars what a Miata is to sports cars 👌

I no longer own mine (fantastic car) but if you think the v8 model is not a supercar then neither is the v10 its identical in every way bar straight line performance which at the time of launch the r8 was comparable with the newest ferrari at the time. Good review though I enjoyed it!
When launched I do think it qualified to be a supercar, but during its life span the bar shifted massively. And before it went out of production I think it was rather a Sportscar, but a damn good one. 😇

@@WheelsToys interesting take but would a ferrari 355 or lambo diablo still be a supercar despite being slow compared to a modern variant. As you say it doesn't really matter anyway as long as you enjoy the car!
@@WheelsToysthen the Ferraris of that time might as well be a sports car as they are just as slow when compared to modern times your take makes no sense dude
