fuck yeah HAVOK!
Josh Steffen yo, my man
Cover this fucking awesome song right now!!! come on!, please!.
DahakaCL i will.
My god, the legend!
I feel like i just won at Where's Waldo. Fucking Josh Steffen in the house. You need a pair of obsidian drumsticks my man, gold and diamond just isn't enough to cover your level of talent. Keep playing!
I love Pete Webber's drumming. Always on point.
SeriouslyMikey his drums set always sounds so fucking thunderous his kick drums have a nice deep full sound... it's kick ass in my car...
I get a Nick Menza of modern thrash vibe from him in every album.
I feel lot of ''Death'' in his stile
I still can't believe that Nick has passed. I've considered my favorite drummer since the day I heard Peace Sells.
Gar Samuelson plays drums in peace sells album
Individual Thought Patterns + Terminal Redux = This song...
Haven't heard the song yet, but this description just gave me a hard one...
Bullshit. That's just a bit more progressive. It's boring as fuck. You're insulting Vektor and Death with this description ...
True. I should've add "boring version".
death has got shitty lyrics comparing to havok
Death has the BEST lyrics in death metal and one of the best in music in general. What do you dislike in Death's lyrics?
Everyone trying to compare them with other bands. Just enjoy the fucking song.
that´s just the music nerd inside of us screaming: Analyse that shit until you find all the influences!! You're probably gonna be better off just ignoring it.
hard to enjoy the song when hundreds of similar bands have put out stuff that blows this away lol
+Kalman Kovacs
Then go listen to those instead lol
good point but hey man I just want people to give respect the older bands deserve as they developed this sound 20+ years ago.
Nacho Álvarez right lol
Havok trying out some influences from Death, and I don't mind at all!
@@rockapartie Or in a more modern influence? Vektor :P but still I don't mind at all!
@@amonite vektor fukin rules
@@atillacnar5785 Vektor Sucks.
Exactly dude! Huge Death vibes.
@@rockapartie So happy to see Coroner's influence actually credited
Sounds a bit more like progressive thrash to me and I've to say that I really dig this! Totally stoked on the new record!
Dr. Gebimmel is like the and justice for all of the 2000'
And what a bass this is. The new guy really kicks ass.
Alexander Denchev well, yeah he kicks ass. it's job for a cowboy's old bass player
Dr. Gebimmel yep i 100% agree with ya dude aha 😄 gonna be a sick album man 😈👊
agree, almost sounds like they are going in the direction of Metallica's and justice for all. song is pretty good. hang em high was good, but the guitar solo was a bit weak
this change of sound production is like the south of heaven one, the drums punch a lot more in the face, obviusly mainly the fucking snare
that snare is amazing
I've been trying for years to get a snare sound like this...it's so fucking perfect.
tight and clean, beast.
INSOMNIO Reminds me of And Justice for all
+Gimmi Bill me too dude, is godamn 'progressive-thrash'
Oh look, one of my favorite bands inspired by my favorite book. Awesome work
retsasiDsuolubaF Have you read Brave New World?
Allen Ellsworth nope, would you recommend?
I haven't read it yet but if you like 1984 then it is perfect for you. They are both really revealing. I don't wanna spoil anything
Allen Ellsworth thanks, I'll definitely check it out. Such a surprise to find someone friendly in a comment section
retsasiDsuolubaF Why is that? I get a lot of hate flung my way too.
Heaviest ska song Ive ever heard
Did you know Ska came before Reggae?
LuKazu after
LOL
🤘🏻😂🤘🏻
How's that nobody has pointed out how fuckin badass are David's vocals on this
Sanchez's vocals are on a whole new fucking level.
Lenny Melly Yeah, actually his vocals sound more aggressive than before. I really like his vocals on previous albums and the extra aggressiveness on this album also, a little different now. Cool anyway!
This is honestly kinda refreshing. It's something I wouldn't expect from Havok...but that's not a bad thing! I dig it! Sounds like the new album is gonna be pretty diverse!
Havok is still experimenting and I really like that. I enjoyed this song alot. Looking forward to hearing some more Warbringer. They seem to be going with the more straight up thrash approach. Glad to have both bands doing their thing!
I would buy this shirt.
When I first heard this song, I was a bit underwhelmed. AT FIRST. But after listening probably 20 or 30 times, it's one of my personal favorite Havok tracks. The song writing is really great. It's progressive enough to satisfy fans of prog music, thrashy enough to fill that void, and all around just a really fucking cool song. This band is the tits.
This whole intro, the amount of love givin to Pete here is amazing, 0:40 amazing seconds literally in the spot light. Freaking love it, i always catch myself repeating the first 40 seconds 10 times before listening to the rest.
That intro drumming is just blowing my mind. (if you listen to all the small details)
The tempo change at 4:11 is amazing and that fucking riff crushes my soul
You guys have found your signature sound. This song blew me away. As someone who plays guitar I appreciate the musicianship and complexity that goes into writing a song, and this just wasn't an average thrash song, this is a god damn masterpiece of song writing
This album keeps growing on me like the finest of wines
Havok alias the omnipresent bassist
I just realized something. When you chew mint bubblegum and drink coffee at the same time it tastes like sausage.
What fucking sausages have you been eating
Thank you for that
Samuel Saarinen you get my like for how completely unexpected this comment was
So try to drink coffee and eat salami...
Just like when you eat peanut butter then sip on Coke, you get Cinnamon
This is actually so sick seeing Havok pull off their own Tech-Death song. They did a great fucking job, and it was completely unexpected for me. Then you look at how talented of musicians they are, and it all makes sense
Justyn Fogarty I would absolutely in no way consider this "tech death" dude... like, go sit in the corner... you want tech death? listen to some decapitated or some arkaik or some origin & then look at this comment again & think really hard about what you said...
Im talking tech death like symbolic. Not like any of that or like obscura or anything. Its technical, and it has death metal vocals and riffs... In your case, I ask you: what is "thrashy" about this song? Just because a band is classified as thrash doesnt mean EVERY song they produce has to be individually classified as thrash.
Justyn Fogarty sounds like the same vocals Dave has always done since thrash can & pwn em all, to me. & it definitely sounds more like thrash in the vein of king diamond & 90s testament to me than any kind of death metal. people have this misconception that thrash can't be heavy or something...? the lyrical content is in no way death metal related, for one. for 2, thrash can be heavy as fuck & sing about Satan if it wants... that don't mean that slayer & testament & king diamond are death metal. but, point being: if thrash bands are delving into dark lyrics about the occult & the fucked up human psyche & can still remain thrash bands, I fail to see how havok, who has always had political content in their lyrics & the most "brutal" song they ever wrote was "from the cradle to the grave" (about H.H. Holmes), even comes close to touching the death metal realm when their sound & lyrical content doesn't even come close to as dark or creepy as previous bands I mentioned, who are all still considered thrash bands, through & through.
Genre has nothing to do with lyrics. Yes a lot of death metal bands actually sing about death itself, however none of the songs on Symbolic or Sound of Perseverance are strictly about "death" itself. They are more politically and philosophically charged, like this song. I've always thought of Havok being a cross between thrash and death. They are inspired by both genres (ask the members themselves). Also Dave's vox have changed a lot, especially between Burn and Time is Up. His vocals went from yelling to his signature high pitched scream. Screaming has been a key factor in ALL death metal bands. Yelling was always a key factor in ALL thrash bands. Whatever genre you wanna call this song specifically, who gives a fuck. It rips.
Justyn Fogarty i agree that it rips. I never said it didn't. again, refer to your first comment, then my first reply. my only point is that this is NOT tech death, bruh.
Love the George Orwell stuff
"it's 1984!" my birth year. Hell yeah.
It is based off of the book "1984"
So proud of Havok making it to Century!
This whole song is headbang central
Havok makes me happy
love that fucking dank groovey intro riff. Then there's some tight thrashing. the bass tone is fucking super awesome too! proud to say they're from my state of Colorado
Did you see em last night with Overkill?
The 147 people who disliked this possibly talk in Newspeak
This track sold me to pre ordering the album.
The mix is much better than hang em high and dang this song is great. I love the death influence and I hear alittle vektor on there too. I'm really digging the darker more progressive vibe
This sound is already one of the best in the band. Ingsoc is fucking great , This sonority extract the full capacity of the band,They do well
doing an old thrash / school and fine with a progressive thrash merging
the 2 have become authentic in the current scene
Havok always delivering some high ass quality metal in your face! luv that intro, reminded me of nineties metal!
love the intro
great profile picture man y fav death album
That bass player is amazing!!
Yes. Yes he is.
These guys never disappoint! One of the leaders of the modern thrash metal scene
The intro was totally unexpected. Lol.
I like it. Something different hehe.
Toujours aussi bon havok
Seriously cannot get enough of this track!! Can't wait for the new album!!
Man, if this is gonna be Havok's ... And Justice For All, i'l be happiest man in the world!!
On the site they said it was gonna be their "Master of Puppets" or "Rust in Peace" album.
Saniikes Rust In Peace is remiscent of AJFA more than of MOP IMO
TheFrayedEndsOfSanity 01
Man I agree. I love it cause even some of the production on these tracks has an AJFA vibe.
Well I wasn't giving you my opinion, I was reading exactly what THEY said about it.
Saniikes k
This song is amazing! Can't wait to pick up the album.
More relevant with each day.
Oldthinkers unbellyfeel Century Media Records.
you should put "rip headphone user" in the title just for the end of the song x)
This is fucking sick.
FUCKIN' headstrong.
Great song ! Can't wait for the album.
I can already tell the can't do any better than time is up
the solo is very fridman-ish. good to see this guys evolving. their previus albums were very 80s thrash, and i think that we need more bands with this sound.
The fact that this song was inspired by one of my most favorite reads of all time 1984 by George Orwell makes this song that much more badass 🤘🏼🤘🏼 FUCKING HAVOK 😈 !!
Super original, and an obvious step in the right direction for Havok, Its not all over the place, super concise and on point, military almost, yet frantic as fuck. Reese is a beast.
I think the entry of the new bassist have changed the system of composing music of the band!
Dang guys it took yall 4 years!!! I've been waiting so long for some new Havok!
2017 Havok is so far one of the best thrash bands out there. They are so unique and fresh and for sure they'll reing after the 80's old gods fade away
Can't wait for the whole album
this is coming from your number 1 fan true havok' head
The crispness is palpable.
Groovy Stuff, i dig it
Never gets old
Hell ya. RIFF FEST!!! Looking forward to this album.
I honestly don't know how he's gonna be able to sing this and hang em high on tour constantly, it's a toll on the voice, I'm not saying it's bad but damn it's gonna be hard to repeat night after night
Man this song live was fucking insane. You guys better see these dudes on tour. Nicest band I've ever met.
I know I'm probably the 50th person commenting the same shit but maan, this sounds super death! Really digging the sound these two singles have
Wow! This is heavy! Love the new prog thrash sound they got going on.
favorite song from them in long time.
Grande HAVOK!!! maestros!!
This song grabs my soul, pretends to caress it, then rips it into pieces and stomps on it.
THIS MOTHERFUCKING SNARE! PETE U ARE GOD
Once the song starts it feels like if Pantera's Walk and Lamb of God's Ruin had a devil child
wait for long time, havok music
Love that intro!!
Sounds nice. Progressive, nice drumming once again. I'm now interested in this record.
thrash that is so pure 🤘
Havok!!!!!!
love the love drum tone.
I hope this song gets some minds a thinkin.
Very cool! Love it!
INGSOC .... great song musically ... but dont you remember 1984. great reminder guys!
This has become my favorite Havok intro. That's so goddamn catchy. holy shit.
pretty Awesome stufff !!!!!
This single is 10 thousand times better than Hang 'Em High. Im fucking impressed!
Has a death metal vocal vibe Pete's drumming is amzing.
The solo is nice.
I just saw them debut this song last night in Chicago, and holy shit this song was so tight live
I'm so fucking ready for this album to come out already.
Beautiful
The bass sounds so gooey and sticky (yes that sounded innuendous)!!!!
Holy shit! You can hear every instrument perfectly!!
¡¡¡¡Larga vida a HAVOK!!!!
main riff sound kinda like alison hell
I see what your saying, it had a hint of Annihilator
Ilya Keeper it really does. I love that song
Lots of Jeff Waters' influence, right!
There isnt a single problem with Jeffs influence - he is a genius.
Yeah the rhythms are tight!
keep up the good work guys!! fuckin psyched to see y'all this feb \m/
I love the dystopian vibe this song has
Read the book "1984" of which this song is based on.
sooooo good
“‘Conformicide’ is our most dynamic, heavy, thoughtful, musical, and sonically-crushing album so far. All four members feel that this is the best Havok album to date. There are a lot of “truth bombs” being dropped on this record and the music absolutely rips!”
David Sanchez (Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar)
"This album swings for the fences in every way. Sonically stunning, technically proficient and lyrically pissed, we've never been represented at our best until this moment in time. We cannot wait for the world to react to Conformicide."
Reece Scruggs (Lead Guitar)
Two pre-release songs in and...reeeeaaallly?!
Cool! Very COC-feel.
AWESOME
love it
Reminds me a lot of Death. The solo is too good! People keep complaining that it sounds progressive but I wouldn't want a full on thrash album , it would get boring so I'm glad this song is on the album. I feel it will be favorite, I guess I just gotta wait for the rest of the album!
