- Humankind is the new and upcoming entry to the grand strategy video game market! The folks over at amplitude have created a historical 4X game that is set to rival sid meiers civilization in terms of its impact in the genre. Naturally the devs wanted to give me early access to see if I could perfectly balance the game and see if this New Civ Killer is broken and if it contains any exploits! Long story short we found infinite money, immortal units, broken diplomacy mechanics and perfectly balanced and overpowered religion! Truly everything in this game is broken and that just makes it the perfect strategy game for me to cover! And guess what the devs decided to add me into the game too!!! Thats right you can even play against the spiffing brit in your game and cry as his unlimited army of immortal horse warriors melts its way through your empire and generates infinite cash!
So Is Humankind A Perfectly Balanced Game With No Exploits? Well there is only one way to find out! Get ready for some funny humankind gameplay!
What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold. I love how this was originally going to be a pacifist run with culture bombs, but then he power leveled out of it and discovered unlimited horsey boys.
In my first playthrough of humankind opendev I was originally a society with a minimal army doctrine.... until the Celts invaded.... then I quickly raised a powerful army, took his army and wiped his civ from existence, then we started vassalizing(making a puppet country) or conquering every one of our allies and neighbors(who totally betrayed me by the way) and began to militarily and economically dominate for the rest of the game! You know, its always that one civ in a game that pushes you over. Just one bad turn to reduce a peaceful civ to warmongering
It's like playing as Gandhi in Civ 6 and nuking everyone to oblivion matey, peace is never an option they say =)))

As a dev this is a great way to do things, it's like having an unpaid tester.

You see by pressing the crouch button with 100 sneak we disappear so quickly you'll leave the AI talking about the wind.

Watching this after the full release and I've got to say, the Huns & Mongols have been greatly nerfed and... they are still overpowered like crazy.

@@TheRevDel That's the earliest you might get it, but it might take nearly 55 years as well; it may arrive anywhere within that timeframe, and is entirely up to spiff and any third parties he depends on to get the horse to you.

I like how Spiff sounds acutally so defeated, disappointed, and sad, that he finally achieved world domination, had all the money, all the science, everyone was a vasal of his. He literally achieved everything he could ever wanted in a game, and it made him sound so sad and defeated.

This game looks great. I love how the avatars adopt the clothing for the time period and culture you chose I wished they did that in Civ through a mod or a feature. I always wanted to see George Washington wrapped in rags in the ancient era to him being a cyborg in the Future era.
Understandably, the Mongols were broken even in real life.
But they also werent capable of holding all that land, so not that broken.

I love how he just auto-resolves the battles. Imagine if he did them manually.

Civ has been killing itself for several games now. It needs some real competitors to kick the devs into actually fixing shit and doing it properly.

That the Endless team jumping into the historical genre, as well as Old World (which is pretty good, look it up, peeeeerfectly balanced ~also I need people to play it with~) that they'll *hopefully* pull enough interest and pop enough competition into the niche that Civ will *do* something...

A: I will admit to being morbidly interested in a Cyberpunk Fortify Restoration loop. The fact it crashes the game isn't surprising, but I wasn't aware of items that allowed one to stack modifiers ala Skyrim.

I enjoy how Spiff's character is all about being smart and posh yet he can't pronounce/read out correctly 50% of what's in front of him. Never change, just keep on crunching those numbers
Also has a vocab about as limited as the 13 year olds he's entertaining by winning half finished games on medium difficulty.

It's like saying that a challenge isn't challenging because the game difficulty isn't cranked up to it's maximum plus his is a caricature of old British conquerors mixed up with some insane quotes only he can imagine.
