This is my favorite wand so far. It's exactly 1 year old. I have 2 of them, silver and this white color. If one needs repairs, I would use the other. They're solid wands, about a few lbs heavier because of the steel head. However, van makes them now with aluminum heads for those who prefer lighter wands. I like the heavy wands because they sit on the carpet deeper, and I don't have to press the wand so much to the carpet. And I also don't lift it that often.
