Rex has Deja Vu while Daniel reminisces on his hard childhood in the streets. All in a day's work for McCormick Scotch. Thanks to Peter Golden for the ongoing ultra-budget Scotch train. Cheers ya MB!
Just yesterday, I watched an episode where Rex is talking about how he propped up his baby with couch cushions so he could feed and game at the same time. He's grown a lot as a father in such a short time.
Agree on the taboo thing. Much prefer young adults see alcohol as something you have a drink or two with dinner or socially, not 12 on the weekends at a party cuz ‘in for a penny in for a pound’
In Europe children are introduced to alcohol around 12. Watered down wine is quite common during family meals even in restaurants. They tend to not binge drink or get wasted like Americans or British do.
I think that making alcohol something where flavor is important, rather than getting drunk, is also very important. Like, I'm 19 now, I started drinking beer around 2 or 3 years ago I think. From the start my goal was to try as many beers, to find favorites, to learn about the history and the making of beer. I also keep a list of the ones I tried, I think it's around 150 right now. I never got drunk, and when I was out with my friends, I started drinking my second pint, and I just found it not fun. The flavor has gotten boring. It looks like I have an inbuilt safety for drunk prevention. Daniel and Rex, also Greg from How to Drink, have gotten me into whiskey and rum. I drink like once or twice a month, and always like a glass of beer with a meal, or a neat pour of rum or orange liquour while watching a movie. So I think that kids should be taught the effects of alcohol, or for that matter any drug or even coffee, so they understand what they are doing. Putting flavor above the alcohol content is also good in my book, making them interested in the history or the making of is just the cherry on top.
@@RaccKing21 agreed, I was always more interested in one good beer, or two different but good beers than drinking a 6 pack of the same cheap watery beer at one time
When I was kid my mom was a bartender and one of the places she used to go was Busch Gardens and back then they had the tour of the brewery and that was my favorite thing as a kid. Not even drinking it but the whole process of how its made and all the sciency stuff behind it. Well said about parental responsibility with alcohol. However, I do occasionally allow my son to have a tiny taste while in our home. He hates the taste, and there is no unobtainable mystery about it for him. I believe that if he does, when he becomes old enough, decide to drink alcohol; he will be able to make mature decisions and keep it in context with the rest of his life.

I'm doing fine, but my best man is starting to get a little rough. A coworker, whom is a whisky noob, wants to get me a shot and asks what I like. I reply "Scotch", but fail to specify. He comes back with two shot. Me and my best man raise them up, Slàinte, and down them. I immediately finish my Guiness to get the taste out of my mouth and my best man bee lines for the bathroom to begin his nights prayer to the porcelin goddess. I found out that the coworker had also requested "Scotch" at the bar and was given the finest spirits the Well had to offer, McCormicks "Scotch". "You mean like the seasoning company? They make scotch?" Fun memories.

I think you should compare a MacCallan 10 to a MacCallan M. Your welcome Rex.
Never seen either of these
I think Octomores shouldn't even be considered to be part of the Bruichladdich family because they're soooo different. (wink wink nudge nudge)
I instantly associated this bottle with the "knifefight and headbutt society" before you started talking about that. It's made for those kind of people who beat each other... that's why the bottle is made of plastic.
Running after someone with toenail clippers doesn’t count as a knife fight lol
The scene: My bachelor party, at an Irish Pub. We are about 3 hours in. I make sure to eat a decent meal (not too heavy, but enough to have something in my stomach). My best man (who should know better) had a bolgna sandwich for lunch and fried pickles at the Pub. The rule in our group is the best man drinks whatever the groom drinks.
Good Morning Gentlemen.
Freakin' Emma 🤣 🤣
7:59 low-key ad for Rex's new marijuana Channel?
Or maybe for shadowing is the better term
Bottom shelf matters
How do they not check the "Wall" every time they walk in there? The Laphroaig Ninja strikes again!
Is Daniel the moooooch now?
Came to giggle at cheap plastic bottle whisky, stayed for the parenting advice.
