I wanted to put a comment regarding the bag itself, the way he is handling it and shaking it, it seems like a child's play toy especially at 10.39, I have been seeing this film lately and have begun to like it very much for obvious reasons and I can't control my laughter when I see that particular bag scene at 10.39. all the best.

Really dilip kumar ji trjdi king hai.
Amitabh proved his over ratedness with this film infront of Dilip Kumar. The centre focus of the film revolved on Amitabh's conflict with his father, emotional relationship with his mother and a love relationship with his girlfriend. On top of that he was given dialogues where Dilip had to underplay to him, benefited from some of the besr scenes of the film. As well as having a death scene at the end.
Whereas Dilip Kumar's character was that of a failed police officer. Wether it was to save his son or even catch the killers of his wife. Yet he still proved that even with weak dialogues and minor scenes one can still come out on top with realistic acting when cast opposite a weak actor like Amitabh. An actor that fails miserably to portray the intensity required from a great actor. What's more even Raj Babbar (original choice for the roll) would have shown more intense acting in the death scene tha what n Amitabh did even after taking 26 retakes.
This film was tailor made for Yusuf saheb..and still amit proved how to win by underplayed a negative character..
@@bimalkumardeb2435 the film was a remake of Ganga Jumna and Deewar. Just as in the 2 previous films this 1 too was centred around the negative lead character played by Amitabh Bachchan. Infact the character played by Shashi Kapoor in Deewar had more scope than the underplaying and weak character played by Dilip Kumar in Shakti.
Yet despite everything Dilip Kumar proved that despite all norms of film making one can stand his own through convincing and realistic acting through the style of method acting when pitted opposite a weak actor like Amitabh that only knows how to character act.

3. His respect for his father died the moment he came to know that his father refused to co-operate/negotiate for his son's life. Faith shattered. Nevertheless, his love for his mother kept him from leaving, till it was inevitable. I can relate to it because in its own way, my life's same like his was( in movie). You can also relate it with Slumdog Millionaire, in which, practically whole world was baffled that, howcome a ordinary (formally uneducated) boy, who serves tea ☕ to people everywhere on road & offices, knows so many things. Things which any other person failed to reply despite their backgrounds, education & jobs. But only that boy and his heart knew, that he had gone through hell & back. During that journey, he came across these things. There's a word "आपबीती". Rest everything else is perception & imagination.
