Was at the track the car looks good on track. You did better each night. Give the souvenir lady a raise she works hard.
Loved watching you on the track 🤘🏻
Keep on digging Landon. 👍🏁👍🏁
Keep digging and I know that Modified is a learning curve for you and keep up the good work
1:06 I feel like after that camera cut and look from your dad, that the next words out of his mouth were "Why are you filming me? We got work to do." 😆
That motor was beautiful lol 🏁
My favorite type of car. Love how you sinc up in car audio with stands view
I don’t always do this but sometimes i prefer it! Glad someone else does too lol
Glad you got to race and making the whole race with no issues good run. Clay from mobile Alabama
It's all part of the learning experience in a different type of car.
ole david had his magic hand on if for ya great guy and hell of a engine builder
I tell ya the Tour mods are no joke lol Watching from turn two and it is like a hurricane. So many cars and they move a lot of air lol
I told you theses cars are a handful! you gots to be on your game, but keep going you will hone your driving skills!
Even in iRacing these are tough to run! tire management is key as well! someday I will have to tell you about running one of these on a cold fall night there the tires looked like 'Glazed Donuts' at the end of the Main Event (Feature) on a half Mile high bank oval....that really was a scary deal as we finished 5th in a 20 car field!
It's a steep learning curve. But you're making leaps and bounds of improvement. Keep grinding and wait for the end of the year, when you got some modified trophies, to look back and see how far you've come. 👍🏻
Just keep digging and don't give up!!!
Really enjoy following your racing career.
U still the Man !!! #LFGLH 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Kind of like breaking a wild horse.Once you break her she will be your best friend. No fenders, got to adjust to that .Man you are doing a fine job, smooth,on and off throttle .When you were racing that #42,you did a great job, that was cool.Nice job Landon, brought her home ,clean, dude you are going to be top 10 soon.I know that was a bit intimidating but you raced really good. Can't say enough about your #98 Crew, they worked hard for you,and it paid off.Again nice job
How do u guys record the spotter audio?
There's a few different ways and most people won't seem to share any info on how they go about it.
For me, I use the Racing Radios GoPro adapter and just plug it into my GoPro. 😉 It's not a cheap route, but it does work well.
It was great watching your progress all week. I did notice from watching flo and several pictures on night 1 ( for you) those rear rotors were glowing. You dont see that on a Mod very often, as its usually verry tight when you have to put that much rear brake into it. For your first time out, you did great! She got back in one piece and now its onto night 2!
There was way more rear brake ran to it from the previous owners and we thought it was back to even but it wasn’t lol
#1 thing I noticed on the in car, that right front had 3 or 4 good chunks taken out of it with the contact you made. It's a wonder that thing held up... This is Patrick Emerling's 2022 qualifying run at New Smyrna. czcams.com/video/Dfg4uCMVotA/video.html Indulge me and watch his hands. That will tell you a lot about how your driving style has to change for the mod. Very smooth from entry to center, no fighting the wheel, just a smooth turn in. Then he opens it up the second he throttles up and dances the car off the right rear. When these cars are right, you don't have to force that car to corner very much, it's a light touch... For your first week of modified racing, you handled yourself REALLY well Landon, I hope you plan on running a few SMART Tour events because I think you're gonna grow to love these things.
You'll get there, keep ur head up, new territory
You did great Landon those asphalt modifiers are a different beast, you are a talented driver and you guys will figure out the setup
If I was your car owner I would have told you to go out, learn, and bring me a car back at the end...you did way more than that, so good work, son...
Really impressive how quickly you adapted to modifieds. These things are monsters and can take everything from you in a split second. Everyone I’ve ever seen come from a different discipline struggled pretty bad, but you seem to have a good grasp on it immediately, just natural talent. Excited to see you run more this year, think you guys will have some solid performances.
Good race...nice work 👍
I saw most of your races in person that week and thought you did a damn good job considering tour mods are quite a bit different than what your used to. You’ll get it…just keep grinding! It was great to meet you, and the bonus for me was I just got to see myself (from afar) in one of your videos…lol!
Always entertaining. Thanks 🙏
Appreciate the work you put in on track and on the videos👍
No problem, happy to deliver something that is enjoyed by others 🙏🏻
Ozone....hard on the throat !
Great job team
these things are gnarly dude
Love these cars there so Awesome! Hey you finished!
Hey you were racing with a modified guy from Canada that was the 11 Norman Newman keep digging buddy from a die hard 🇨🇦🇨🇦 racing fan love the videos been following for almost 2 years now
Hang in there Landon.
I was thinking that you might have had some damage in the transmission after the engine locked up, when I seen your post on Facebook last week. Yes if I was there, I would have brought it up, because it is something I have seen in my experience around racing!
Have some coffee and go kick some ass!
Were you guys able to figure out what happened to the original engine?
My home track.
Can't believe that RF didn't puncture! Good run.
With modifieds it's the right rear that you have to worry about the most
Please come run Thompson or Stafford one of these days.
I never heard you get into the Rev Limiter. Are, you turning it hard enough??....lol
Are you gonna be racing at the short track nationals at Bristol?
Some days it be like that Huff. Some days it just be like that. 😕
Your a real RACECAR driver Landon and real race cars have fenders. U can’t “RACE” these freak cars !!
Your 1st Race At Hickory motor speedway?
Must be nice to be able to put in a ROBERT YATES engine in your race car 😳🤦🏼 god damn that cost someone a bag 💰 🤢
Modified engines are spec engines from NASCAR. They are all around the same price no matter the engine builder. Shamrock motorsports stepped up so we could keep racing!
After doing modified tires for years.....a 1/4 inch stagger can make a difference. To the tune of like 1 to 1.5 round in or out in left rear spring adjustment (dependent on how touchy the chassis was). I actually used 1/8 inch as my owest or base increments in checking and creating stagger. Anything less than that I was getting into the tolerance of the measuring process and tape measure. Very touchy on Modified Race Cars. After driving a modified, the late model will feel like a taxi cab.
