This opening scene is incredible. It's so subtle, the music is so fitting and the pace is amazing. As well as that, it leaves us confused. We don't know what's happening, especially the people who haven't read the books or seen this or the film before. I love it.

You know what just occurred to me? ...... they never do the flying thing that Alec does in the first few seconds again. They just have exaggerated flips. Not flying skills. Same with the superspeed. Izzy and Jace did it once in S1. Then we never got to see it again. And when Clary linked herself to Simon to gain his powers in the finale, Jace says "Clary gets vamp speed" as if superspeed isn't even a Shadowhunter ability anymore.
