You can't forget rotb scourge too
The extra colors that aren't just different versions of purple really help this version stand-out. I'm usually a pretty huge stickler for cartoon-accuracy, but I think this is actually the better version of the two. Definitely the better deal, those effects parts are pretty generous for a $10 markup. Might pick it up if it's still available in a few months, my budget has been pretty much blown out by Sludge.
It's so freaking great to see these G1 toy versions of characters, I wish every figure had it's G1toy style equivalent

Wow! The jet mode looks amazing. I'm not a fan of stickers either. Hopefully this won't be hard to pick up. Great review as always.

I don't know if there's a phobia for seeing stickers eventually peeling and tearing- but I'm feeling it HARD with this one.
With Gunpla, the pain is real...with Transformers, there's always Toyhax.
I never had a problem with the original Kingdom Cyclonus but the darker purple on this newer one just hits. I’m also really glad the stickers don’t come pre installed because I’ve never been a fan of the G1 style stickers. This figure looks so good
He looks better than i expected. If the stickers were actually tempos, I would buy him in a heartbeat.

Such a great figure. Kingdom Cyclonus inspired me to check out G1 season 3 where he quickly became my favorite decepticon and this colour scheme is absolutely stylin'
After he brought up the yellowing, I went and grabbed mine and mine has it too so I'm definitely buying this one when it comes out. Love your videos!
As a kid I was so annoyed that my G1 toys didn’t quite match the cartoon I loved. I always thought Cyclonus was more blue in the cartoon, so I’ll stick with my WFC version. I do love how this figure looks though. Love the mold. I would TOTALLY buy a Studio 86 version. Great review!
Agreed... I like the cartoon-accurate look way more than the toy-accurate look. The toys always had wonky colour schemes and too-busy applications.
In the show Cyclonus was more of a dark purple color

The legacy version of cyclonus reflects his G1 colors from the kingdom lighter purple version usually shown in his animation counterpart

i use him as wrecker cyclonus since this is what his colour scheme was when he was a wrecker in the 3h comics minus the red and pink

Thank you for all your vids dude. I don't bother with instructions from the box, i just come to you for tips and guidance. And i just like watching the vids for entertainment too. I picked up a copy of Legacy Cyclonus, (on sale, half price, sweet). I didn't mind the stickers, (happy to say they were not attached to the sellotape lol) this once, i would not want to apply stickers to every bot that's for sure. I left off the thigh stickers, there is no way they are gonna stay on. Interestingly enough i had the exact same quirks/flaws with my copy, floppy arm joint and an almost impossible leg compaction. Nevertheless, it works and i love it. Especially, for just £22 quid. That deep purple is lush, and it feels great in hand too eh?! A nice weight to it, the plastic feels different to the others i have, better i think. I just got back into Transformers, i was about 7 when it all started many years ago. Had a banging collection, god knows what happened to them all. I'm well into middle age now and starting again, and its quickly getting out of hand! My little girl, loves watching your vids too. Nice one dude, cheers.
This figure looks fantastic! My only issue is that nightstick is just another repaint of blowpipe, rather than being a new Mould. Especially since nightstick was always the most unique targetmaster. Phenomenal review as always PvP! :D
Yeah I would’ve loved a new mould for nightstick but sadly it probably wasn’t worth their while :( thanks so much as always :)

Agreed. They could have used those Targetmaster molds from Transformers Legends line for these kind of exclusives.

I just picked it up at a discount outlet store for $24.99 us, brand new although the box was open everything was accounted for. What a super score!
thanks for the video i used 2 blast effects fron 2 of my sweeps and used them as Thrusters in the back of my Cyclonus in jet form looks good to me
I got this verison in the other day, and I have only put stickers on his wings and the chest, it makes him look better, he didn't need a lot of stickers added onto him, in my view!
I have the same problem with the same leg on my version. He is awesome. I have the G1 and him sitting next to each other on the shelf. Looks great.

Tbh even with the shoulder thing being wide spread, if the screw tightening fixes I'm not upset at all. Cyclonus has become one of my favorite characters ever lately since I've been deep diving into the idw comics and holy hell is that man romantical in a detached but still insanely wholesome way.
I'm an 80s kid, every toys had stickers haha I always loved them, kinda add an extra fun when we were getting toys.

Fabulous figure and great to see Nightstick too. No doubt that Toyhax will probably come out with a sticker sheet for this guy, Really wish they'd recolour this mould in blue and yellow and turn it into Thunderwing,.
Great review! Hey do think Hasbro will ever address and fix the yellowing plastic parts for Cyclonus in the future?
I also have that loose shoulder problem, means he can't hold Nightstick's weight until I can hopefully fix it, in spite of that he is cool, put the stickers on him and gave those two extra insignias to the Kingdom one, makes him a bit more vibrant.

I cant wait to get the ones I ordered, he looks so much better than the already amazing kingdom Cyclonus. If you want a more toon accurate nightstick you can swap the arms from the caliburst battlemaster from siege, they screwed caliburst up so badly that giving him silver arms and giving nightsick his black arms wont ruin the already messed up caliburst, haha. I switched the arms of my fracus that came with the amazon exclusive tetra jet skywarp and the nightstick that came with selects artifire to make both targetmasters more toon accurate as well.
I'm curious to hear: Can you solve the loose shoulder with a screwdriver as it was theorized in the review? Saw similar comments in the Hasbro Pulse site so unfortunately looks to be a spread issue 👍🏼

Not a bad looking figure. I thought at first glance he was a repaint, remold and upscale version of the Universe Cyclonus. That's the one I still have after all these years. He's still in great shape.

I rarely use the blast effects but it's nice to have the option
I just pre-ordered him as I do like the color scheme and the added stickers. Although I prefer Hasbro to actually paint in the details, they never really do as they'll just do the very minimum amount they can. Thank goodness for Toyhax as I've already stickered 4 of my Transformers, Jazz being one of them, and I plan on doing an additional 5 or 6 so the added stickers don't really bother me. As far as yellowing is concerned, mine hasn't yellowed yet and I got my Cyclonus on release day so I'm very happy about that part.

I think that for a future release of this guy, they should take the gunmetal grey pieces for the arms and thighs from the Gen selects release and put them on the Kingdom version.
I am now waiting for toy accurate coloured sweeps! That would be awesome to have a redo of the trio!

Passing on this. I have the Kingdom Cyclonus, then gave him the Nightstick Targetmaster from the reveal the shield Cyclonus and tossed that old deluxe figure into the recycle barrel

I normally don't buy multiple figures of the same character but I just had to preorder this. As much as I like the regular Kingdom colors, these look even better, and as a kid I always loved the darker colors his G1 and Botcon toys had, so it's pretty nostalgic for me. I think I'll remove the Decepticon logo on his chest and use this one as MTMTE Cyclonus, with the Kingdom version as Cyclonus while he was still following Galvatron.

Would love to see a show that draws inspiration from the marvel comics/g1 toys. Or even the regeneration one comics or g2 would be cool to see.
I’m holding out for a show featuring G1 characters that didn’t get much spotlight in the U.S. (hopefully based on Headmasters through Operation Combination)
I'm not in love with the blue on the alt mode, but everything else looks better than the original. Nightstick seems like an afterthought, kind of like wheelie was to SS86 grimlock. I think Hasbro should make figures like this substantially cheaper to encourage us to buy more than one version. There's no way I would even pay regular retail for just a straight repaint of the same figure.
Nightstick was likely tossed in as an excuse to market it as a different version of Cyclonus as a 'homage' instead of just a based on original toys paint job.
the fact that cyclonus can turn into a cybortronian version of an x-29 fighter jet which is a upgrade concept of the real and aerodynamically unstable jet plane due to it wings that took its fist test flight on 1984 and its the third plane with the forward swept wing.
It would honestly be the best thing ever if they did this with a slightly modified earthrise optimus prime to make it look like his G1 toy counter part. It would also be amazing if they gave it a new head sculpt.

Yeah, that Nightstick is a repaint of Siege Blowpipe. Nothing surprising, they backed themselves into a corner with the Targetmaster partners. (Both Shrute aka Hairsplitter & Fracas were repaints of Firedrive aka Firebolt, as was Artfire's version of Nightstick)
Is this the Cyclonus Armada figure that was listed for this year?
he looks fine but i prefer kingdom. its a shame we wont see him in studio series with more movie accurate colors but the kingdom ones works well enough.
I wasn’t able to get SS 86 Scourge so if they can give us a toy deco Scourge figure in the future that would be great

What is the purpose of the 2 pegs in the chests and hip? Edit: I just got mines in and it seems to serve no purpose.

One as is, with Hasbro’s sticker sheet.
One as is, with no stickers applied.
And one with Toyhax stickers.
I bought the Kingdom version weeks ago for a bargain price of £8! While I liked the Legacy darker colour eventhought Kingdom is accurate to the cartoon apperance, I don't intend to buy him again.
Heck I even have Blowpipe already if I want him to hold a battlemaster! Yes he doesn't look like Nightstick but I do have Firedive for the colours!
This is gonna sound suuuuper weird but I'm half tempted to get toy accurate Galvatron just to put his stickers on Legacy Galvatron and have this better Cyclonus stand next to him lol.
LOL the same thing used to happen with the original Cyclonus toy. The blast effects are for the targetmaster, not the jet. Use old ones for the jet.
Has this one yellowed at all? I really want this mold but am cautious of the yellowing
My Legacy Cyclonus is on its way to me as we speak.... in face it SHOULD be here before the day is up, I missed the Kingdom release so I am really looking forward to this

Personally I like to put the 2 weapons under the wings kinda like the earthrise seekers, looks a lot better then slapping one on top

You need to review DNA desigh DK-34 upgrade kit before it arrives to my house(you have one month)
I personally love this redeco but I don't think it's worth the extra cost, especially when I got Kingdom Cyclonus. I do think he's still an incredibly figure, but I'm not picking him up personally.

There is a samurai idw version of his head you can buy out there i believe, its 3d printed but it looks great. Its not coloured for this new repainted version though
Man I want the original repackeged in Studio Series, purely because mine yellowed.
Just bought this figure but I really wish they would have implemented a way to have nightstick stick into Cyclonus' hand port. There was NO reason not to take advantage of it.

I do loke Hizarmada here, but even with the price down to about $30 US I'm not quite sure I need a second copy of the mold... The new Star Raiders version tempts me slightly as it would be easier to paint into a Space Case, but the new head sculpt is super fugly.
