Suggestion: What does FM team thinks about travel protection? Love to see a segment on that, which covers, when do you need it, who needs it, who is covered, which credit is suitable and so on

Cheaper to buy the Blade flight from Nice to Monaco cash than to spend towards Bilt Platinum status. What they say about credit card companies being smarter than you definitely applies here
If that free Blade ride was the only perk for Platinum, spending $50k on 1x category doesn't make sense. 2% cashback cards will pay you $1k for the same $50k spend. But there are other factors like bonus categories, rent day multiplier, and other status perks. 200k pts/yr looks insurmountable for me, but may not be for some.
@@MistSoalar Spend more money in order to save more money is still the marketing tactic that American Express and other companies use, and still everyone falls for it. The $25,000 tip I will give you is just spend $25,000 on that card instead of $50,000 and boom you've saved more money than any of those perks will ever give you
@@MistSoalar even the most diligent financially aware and frugal person in the world is going to spend more on their credit card than they ordinarily would to reach a minimal target spend amount if they think they're going to get perks from it
