I full jumped off my chair. I also may have given myself whiplash. The song started and I was like oh yeah this sounds like the typical Billie Eilish progression. Then boom 💥 she freaking smacked me with that drop at 2 mins. I am unwell 🤣
Because this is only the second song you've heard from her, it's important to note that this is definitely not her typical style- this song COMPLETELY came out of left field.
just a word or two. i met Billie for the first time back in 2013, we met in our road, since we lived about 5 minutes by feet apart from each other. firstly, i met Finneas, in a bar, we had the same shirt, so, we did the same thing two dudes do when they noti che they have the same outfit, a good old “yo, nice shirt man”. then, we started talking about us, and i discovered that they were into music. i started producing back in 2014, just before meeting fin, after several years of drums. so, we decide to keep up with our new friendship, and one day, finneas announces that that day, his sister was with him, and so, there i met Billie. to this day, i consider her as one of my best friends.
If you don't listen to this album in order and more than once, it's something you might wanna consider. This album is a MASTEPIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!
@@CoreySladeMusic she’s specifically cited Julie London if you want to get a better idea. But essentially popular American music from the early 1940s to mid 1950s.
I can completely see the record label execs getting heart attacks when they listened to the second half for the first time realizing that Billie had deliberately torpedoed her stadium anthem super hit with a beautiful ukulele ballad.
I love the fact that in the interview she just said about this album she said that nobody knew they were writing it except for her Finneas and her family even her label and they had already written it finished it and everything played it for them and They said OK let’s do this and released it
People think I don’t like most Pop music just because I listen to a lot of Metal . That’s not the case. I hate a lot of Pop music because it sounds very fake and void of any kind of real, raw emotion. Billie Eillish brings something new to the table though. I know some real heart and feeling is in a song when I get goosebumps. This gave me them all over. This is definitely one of my favorite songs of the year. I hope she continues with this and dives deeper into Alt Rock. It really fits her.
When it's going into the second half you see the change in the way you start moving to it! I would love to have a first reaction to this again and again!
Loved this reaction! I was blown away by this song and the video too! There is a variety and an intimate diary feel to the new album. I'm sure not every song will be your cup of tea but you can't deny the talent of Billie and Finneas and they are masterful at the surprises and the cinematic feel to the music! Definitely react to more, you should also check out her older discography to get a fuller picture of the awesomeness! Cheers!
Thanks for your review. I agree, this song is really incredible. She should make a whole rock album like the second part of this song. She has the potential to bring rock alternative back on the map as a dominant genre. Every music genre needs a leader and this is what is presently missing for the rock alternative genre. I read the comments everywhere and there is no doubt that her fans are asking for this! The new generation of fans, surprisingly, love powerful rock! So, please Billie, do it!! Kindest Regards! 🎼🃏🎶🎵🙏😀👋🌠
To me…she’s kind of the female Sinatra..in the way that Sinatra had an instantly recognizable voice and was an excellent singer. Same with Billie. She has an instantly recognizable voice and is one hell of a singer. Her voice reminds me of old times. The HTE album cover was inspired by a Julie London album cover. I believe it was the “make love to me” cover. But if you look up the cover for the song “lonely girl”, Billie uses the same font used on that album cover for her album cover. Julie London seems to be an inspiration for Billie too. As a matter of fact..Billie recently did a cover of “I’m in the mood for love” on bbc tv. You can find it on CZcams.
@@CoreySladeMusic and I’m just seeing that Julie has a whole album of Latin influenced/styled songs. The album is called “Latin in a satin mood.” I’m now wondering if that’s where Billie got the idea for the song “Billie bossa nova” on her new album. 🤔
The first part reminds me of Carla Morrison music, who Billie is a fan of! If y’all want to listen to some of her music I recommend Eres Tú, Hasta la Piel, Compartir, Pajarito del Amor, Disfrutó 😊
I don't know how true the rumors are, but this may be about a relationship she had with someone who was in there early 20s at the time.... when she was 16. Hence the "I was a kid" line. So yeah, it was an abusive relationship.
Im a massive fan of her music, and I love this album and I love this song a lot, the second half is incredible however I wouldn't take an entire album of that because I feel it would take away the impact of it and the greatness of it just being sporadically through the record
Love that you picked up on the Frank Sinatra vibe. She uses the phrase "the way you look tonight" in another of her songs on this album. And the colors and styles of the album cover have a 40s feel also.
Check Maneskin, Iggy pop released a song with them. It’s a rock band very successful in Europe. In the States they are in charts with two songs. Thanks
I want a whole album like the last half of this song
Oh yeaaaah
We all do, bro. We all do.
Yes i do
me too! thats the best part of the song.
WOOT TO THE F-ING WOOT!!!
The entire last half of the song, I want a whole ass album of that.

yeah like to really understand how different and good this is you have to know that this isn't what she usually sounds like
The whole new album is phenomenal. It is the best she has done so far. 🔥
I’m 100% okay with her coming out of left field with it. It was great
i got chills down my entire body the first time i listened to this song
It’s definitely emotional and resonates well
samee
Me too
no but I actually felt chills when the lights started flickering in the MV.
Same
isn't it crazy that she's 19? she wrote the lyrics, contributed to the production and directed her music video.
That is crazy. She’s got a lot of talent for sure!
After she sings, “just fucking leave me alone!”, you can vaguely make out her shouting “fuck you!” And screaming. This track is incredible!
This track is definitely incredible. I want a whole album like the second half
