- iPhone X logic board motherboard replacement. How to change the logic motherboard in the iPhone X to get rid of iCloud lock. iPhone X logic motherboard replacement repair. Change the logic board motherboard to get rid of iCloud lock as long as your new board doesn't have iCloud lock. Be sure to find one that works with your carrier and has Face ID component with it if you want FAce ID to work.

If I change the motherboard does the iCloud take off ? Because I found my old iPhone and I don’t know the iCloud or nothing for it?
Yes if you can find a motherboard for it that doesn’t have iCloud lock on it. But it’s probably a lot easier to try to figure out your iCloud.

Hello, my iphone x, just died, apple no solutions, all i need is the data, if buy a replacement logic board will i get my data back, probably not right? as i believe the drive is sottered on to board correct? thank you.
I have a question to ask.I was cheated by a guy he sold me icloud lock iphone x . Now i bought a broken ( front and back) iphone x . What parts i need to swap between the two original devices to get One as new device so far what i know from different information sources is that we need to just swap the logic board and sensors attached to the display and everything will work. Does the memory make any difference if one is 64 and other is 256?? Plz help me by this information as i have already suffered a lot in this case i shall be grateful to you. Thanks
Hi there sorry you had this happen. the memory size doesn’t make any difference for the swap. As far as I understand yes what you need to swap is the logic board itself and the whole front camera face ID assembly. If you care about being water resistant again you also want to replace the screen seal which is cheap enough.
@@SmartEasyDIYer hey, I attempted the same repair however whenever i put the working logic board on the donor iphone it starts bootlooping. Then when I put the logic board back to its original phone it starts working again. Do you know what I am doing wrong?

Yeah if you delete it from your iCloud account and factory rest the phone to new then you should be good to sell it.

Do I understand correctly that the motherboard plus its face recognition module from one iPhone X can be installed unto another iPhone X and it will work? I have two such phones that were given to me by their owner (damaged) to tinker and play with them, for fun. So I have been studying all these videos, etc.
Yes that should work if you transfer both of those.

I don’t know. They vary a lot based on what’s available. I would check around for them based on the memory size and carrier you want etc.
Not to abuse your generosity but, when replacing an iPhone X screen should one use the OLED or LCD?
I think the led would be better quality as far as colors etc. lcd is good but not like it was originally.
I plan on replacing the motherboard with face ID. I hear some people complain that the taptic engine stops working because it's also linked to the original motherboard. Is this true?

No in order for it to work you need to swap the Face ID front camera as well that came with the board you’re putting in.

I don’t know. The only way I know is to replace your motherboard with one that doesn’t have a cloud lock. Someplaces offer the service but I’m not sure how well they work

bro i got an old iphone x I used but like it got bent and both the screen and phone bent, the screen is toast but everything seems to be working as I am getting calls from it. If I buy an cloud locked iPhone x couldn't I just replace the logic board from my old x to the ic locked one?
Yes you should be able to as long as you swap the face ID over as well.

Yes it would still remove iCloud lock since it’s the imei on the board.

Yes if you transfer logic board and Face ID both from the good broken one to the new one it should work.

Yes you can swap over SIM card tray as well. The actual sim slot is in the logic board. The Face ID component is the whole front camera assembly. I have a video about that specifically if you wanna look in more detail.

You’d have to have the Face ID that came with the logic board originally that you are going to be using. If you get one out of a used phone with a broken screen etc then you could use both. You have to make sure that it’s free of iCloud lock and clean IMEI number and that it will work with your wireless carrier.

I don’t believe so. The chances of it coming from the same phone is minimal. Unless it’s from the same seller you could message and ask them.
I thought FaceID was tamper proof.
