    Nice video. You maybe should talk a bit about bindings angles because it's definitely a game changer when carving. More positive angles just physically improve your carves.

    I can specifically attest to how accurate tip 4 is for what Tommy is doing, as I was just practicing that on my own runs today. So if there are any learners here in the comments, yes, when you're doing your quick-turn carves like that, you want to be keeping your upper body stacked, not moving your torso much, and you want to let your legs do all the work.
    Thanks for all these tutorial videos Tommie! You're the best!

    Hey, Tommie👊🏂❄🤸 --- Luvin' the vids / natural teacher you are... Quick question: Do you have any vids that are not teaching, but, simply you just bombing The White Room? I'd love to watch you on a full (entire) run simply doing your thing... from side-hits to switch to hard carving / euro-carving even --- Just a full uninterrupted run... start to finish. It would be interesting seeing the lines you choose / paths you take / features you find / tricks you throw... put a phat beat behind it --- and just enjoy you and your style for a full aggressive run👍 You're A damn good teacher, but it would be bomb to see you just full-out / all your glory / doin' you. ---- Mad props👊 Thanks for all the tutorials

      Where are you riding? These are mellow slopes and there’s no way to get this consistency in the alps as there’s always lots of steep sections

    Hi Tommie, Im a beginner snowboarder. I can do s turns and carves and some small jumps but i always feel a lack of control on speed if i don't skit a little bit. I'd be riding down the same hill with the kids but I always ends up over taking them if I don't hit the brakes a few times. Do you have any tip or ideas on why that is?

  • @PhilipRodo20
    @PhilipRodo20 Před 4 měsíci

    Question about Tip 4. I am working on linking turns and not skidding but how do you go slow and not pick up too much speed?

    Love your videos…wanted to see if I could get some tips. I’m still new to the sport but was really picking it up, was hitting blues during my 2nd snowboarding trip. I did catch edge and flew forward and landed on my head/neck. I got a ct scan, luckily no serious issues outside of maybe a minor sprain. If you catch edge and fly forward on your side is there a technique to quickly try and protect your head? Obviously I had a helmet on. Also..how do you balance being safe while also pushing yourself a bit to get better? I imagine falling and even some injuries are just part of the game, but trying to also balance safety with testing my limits a bit. Without question ill be back on the slopes

    • @boom2055
      @boom2055 Před 4 měsíci

      Don’t be excessively confident with your skills when you’re just getting started. Getting a life altering injury is not worth it.
      Practice more on easier terrain before approaching the harder ones.
      If you got a sprain from a fall, either the snow is really hard or your just going way too fast

    • @rdevaraj
      @rdevaraj Před 4 měsíci

      @@boom2055 yeah I realize I was probably going too fast. I regret it. This was a wake up call but I’m hoping it doesn’t completely deter me from enjoying this sport
