  • One of the most frequent causes of damage to floor coverings like hardwood floors or LVT design floors is not using furniture glides or the wrong glides like felt glides or rubber glides.
This video shows you the advantages of the new Scratchnomore system from Dr. Schutz in comparison with conventional furniture gliders.
Felt glides quickly clog up with sand and seriously scratch the floor. Beside of that the felt becomes hard when in contact with moisture, for example when the floor is mopped, and is therefore even more damaging to the surface of the floor covering.
Rubber glides are more stable than felt and not sensitive to moisture, but they cannot absorb or cushion hard particles, like sand and hair. Therefore, despite better adhesion and easier handling, in the end they do similar damage to simple felt glides.
The soft fibres of Scratchnomore absorb the sand and thus protect the floor from damage and scratches. Due to the length and consistency of the fibre material, the pressure from the chair leg is cushioned and the floor remains undamaged.
Scratchnomore furniture glides are available for all types of furniture and chairs. They protect hard and textile floor coverings. Further information on www.dr-schutz.com/en/scratchn...

You need to show you apply the same amount of force on the chair each run.

I seem to have a lot of chair friction....chairs hard to move....once you set down, hard to adjust kitchen chair at table. Very difficult to back up. What is the answer to smooth gliding?

never had sand on my floor. i cant see anyone having any sand on their floor either. its called sweeping. the cheap felt stick on's are the best. these cost $5 for each glider. kinda hard to justify that price.

00:34 - Felt does not become hard or more abrasive when wet. (((""" They often don't stick to the chair leg for very long """))) More BS. The constant weight of the chair itself keeps glider pads on. They only get knocked off in situations of rough flooring such as uneven wood planks or damaged/cracked concrete. These scammers are literally selling the same material (nylon) that the cheaper gliders that they previously insulted are made of. These people are selling tiny pieces of carpet at a premium.

Requires drilling into expensive furniture. What an over engineered joke. No wonder our oceans are full with garbage
