  • This out and in walk from Inverlochlarig takes in the two Munros Stob Binnein and Ben More. A bit of clag to start but the weather soon turned into bright sun spells.

    Done them from both directions , cracking views when the fog lifts, Ben More commands the views for miles around , great vid as usual , cheers

    It is interesting to see these hills climbed from the south. Years ago, with pals, I did them from the Crianlarich road. As you know Ben More is a steep straight up from the road. As I remember it we retraced our steps back to the col and then headed west to Cruach Ardrain, and thence north back to Benmore farm.

      Hello, Going up to the col from the farm was the conventional route for many years but it now appears the majority prefer to head straight up Ben More instead. Either way they are a super pair that offer some stunning views. Cheers

    Well done Charlie & Mike, some lovely shots there Charlie, liked the one of Mike on the trig at Ben More, glad the conditions improved as the day went on.

    Great video, and thank you. Been looking at this route. Intending on doing a wild camp on the way up there, viewing along the lochs. Do the peaks and back to the tent👌 back down the morning after👌

    Another fine video. Given that your route is not the usual ascent, I was surprised to see a fair to good path all the way to Stob Binnnein. Good to see that the weather improved for you.

    I was over on An Caisteal & Beinn a'Chroin yesterday, it wasnt looking promising for views early on but like you got the break in the end. Was nice to feel the sun on my back for a change. Hills were minging from the recent rainfall.
    I did Stob Binnein last year from the Inverlochlarig side and glad I did over a steep pull up from Ben More glen - that would have been a real grunt.

      @@Sean_1919 hope you get a good day for it, the views are incredible. Make sure your footwear is waterproof and wear gaiters if you have them, the climb up to the first hill is really boggy and the walk out from Beinn a Chroin along the bottom of the Glen is more of the same for about 2-3 miles. There’s a bit of exposure and scrambling up to Beinn a Chroin but nothing too bad. Enjoy!

    Superb Charlie, ive done Stob Binnein via that route and its definitely a great day to do it as its a lovely ridge walk once youve done the hard bit at the start - its a fair pull up from the car park although i dont remember going through that gate at the start but remember going over a stile a few hundred metres up so not sure if u's took a more direct route to the ridge.

      Hi nickname, We've never experienced any issues with leaving the packs but on this occasion we were after a bit more legwork as the walk is relatively short. I suppose it's something that should be considered nowadays? Cheers

    Hey Charlie. Brilliant video as always. Our boys are aged 6 and 8. They are on 47 munros (many more hills) and want to do these two. What route would you recommend for them? Ps they are your biggest fans. Watch the last video and you can see they were talking about Liathach video

      Hello, Many thanks, really glad you all enjoy our outings. A good route for these two are from the A85 and head up Benmore Glen. A good track from the farm heads south alongside Benmore Burn where a path eventually leads up to the col between the tops. You can pick off both tops from there and return by the same route.       The views were worth the wait on both tops
