- The U.S. unemployment rate unexpectedly dropped to 13.3 percent in May, down from a record high in April, indicating the nation's economy is recovering faster than expected from the coronavirus lockdown.
The Labor Department said in its Friday report that employers added a stunning 2.5 million jobs in May -- the biggest increase on record. The economy shed a combined 22.1 million jobs in April and March, meaning there are an estimated 21 million Americans currently out of work.

I just did a scenario with my 8 year old son since I didn't think he'd be able to sit through or understand this video. I used 8 pennies for each of us (16 total). We bought toys "we needed" from each other. During the 1st set of sales, he realized how it was unfair. He had 3 pennies left and I have 13. Of course I was happy, but he was a little discontent. So we traded a 2nd time, but this time I still charged him the same amounts, but at the same time he charged me the same as I was charging him plus extra (which I explained is what China and the EU are currently doing). This time he had an extra 3 pennies (11 for him and I only had 5). Needless to say he was happy to walk away with more money. So, I explained that this is what Trump is currently trying to do....but I (the EU) have changed my ways and will make the trades fair between us. So we traded a 3rd time. This time, in the end, we both had 8 pennies and we were both relatively happy....though I told him I was kind of disappointed because i was making money off of him before but am not anymore...but in the end I got what I needed.
He, though only being 8, actually enjoyed the process.

As a Canadian, I feel embarrassed when I see how Canada behaves internationally in things like this. Canada has gotten by -- for too long -- on a wholesome, peaceful, fair image that is constantly projected all around the world. It's like a spoiled brat -- the world babies Canada and yet it plays unfairly. Canada got off with NOT being fair, because it supported globalism, which -- of course -- was profitable for the EU and China.
If Canada is forced to play on a level playing field -- not just in lobster, but on other fronts -- it will force the country to finally implement realistic change. It will force voters to vote realistically. Enough of all the lofty, idealogical nonsense that has taken priority for SO long.
For New Brunswick, this will be a tough lesson. The province has been operating in critical condition for decades. But, a drastic change could result in a drastic response. I have wondered for years, if New Brunswick would benefit MUCH more from working more closely with the US, than with the rest of Canada. Maybe New Brunswick will have to reach out to the US.
Why SHOUDN'T Canada be working better with the US, when it is right on our doorstep?
If you don't like our country you can leave. We get better deals with Europe because we are part of the group of commonwealth countries which up until 1931 was under the rule of the British monarchy.
