Vinny: *runs off into danger by himself*
Also Vinny: "Why aren't any of my friends here with me?"
Classy Vinny move
Vinny, the Administration is promoting you to Head Mortality Specialist
You’re in charge of running headlong into situations to find out how lethal it is
Erm, excuse me, the term is "Mortality Ratings Evaluation Consultant"!
"Why can't my regular scientist just bumrush a bunch of military dudes?"
You tell us, Vin.
The devs need to add a titanium pins blueprint so Vinny can put his spaghetti legs back together
I just love the dynamic of the groups of people Vinny plays Abiotic Factor with, perhaps amplified by the game itself.
There's this ever so slight hostility between them that smells like a steamy locker room, sweaty socks, black mold, and copious amounts of Axe body spray (Wild Africa).
As of the upload date the devs just pushed out the first weeks Update which includes Walkie Talkies and the ability to fix the Security Checkpoints door.
Also WAY more food options.
They are on it.
In which Beanpole repeatedly wanders off on his own and goes out of his way to fight every single living thing he comes across - most especially _armed military soldiers_ - in spite of being completely out-numbered and out-gunned, for no material benefit. He then goes on to criticise the game for it, as if they should be squishy enough that a dweeby scientist (himself) could beat them in a straight firefight.
Vinny, please know I mean this in the kindest way possible when I say: This is not Half-Life. Yes, it _looks_ like it, but it's not. And you need to get that notion out of your head.
You're not Gordon. You're one of the scientists that dies off-screen - not even one of the ones that dies _on_ screen - and you can't beat most enemies in a one-on-one fight, let alone a five-on-one fight. You're not _supposed_ to be trying to fight everything; you're supposed to _avoid_ fighting where possible and pick your battles intelligently. If you don't play it the way you're intended to, you're gonna have a bad time and it's entirely your fault when you do. It's not the game's fault that you play it like it's a completely different game; it's yours.
Just sayin'.
He also ignores gear unless it drops from enemies or his friends. He has 10 armor when he should have at least 30 and a set bonus that makes his armor deflect bullets. He'd still be using a knife if Jolly didn't make him a spear lol.
@@user-zu3zz1lv3p He also doesn't eat, drink, sleep, bathe or take a dump until he gets a bunch of status alerts on the side of his screen and then he'll only do _just_ enough to make those alerts go away and no more. So he goes out exploring just barely above starving/dehydrated, with no food or water in his inventory, then complains that he can't explore for five minutes without suffering from a bunch of debilitating statuses before dying.
It's not the game's fault that he refuses to actually engage with its mechanics.
As much as like for Vin to play his games the way he wants- I gotta agree with the points that are being made here.
This is good feedback from your community and it'd be great to see it acknowledged in some way because this game really is cool and deserves more attention to its mechanics.
I feel like if he could learn Armored Core Rubik's Cube or w/e the hell - then he could _easily_ learn and thrive in this game, making his experience easier and/or more enjoyable for himself and subsequently for viewers like me who enjoy when Vin is enjoying whatever he's playing.
It’s because he’s more interested in the exploration and combat than survival. That, alongside his usual blindness and being tired, is just a recipe for disaster of not wanting to learn the systems.
@@dysr Totally understandable,
When I read their comment I think it comes from a place of wanting Vin to enjoy what he's playing but when the game isn't being played properly it can result in a poorer experience.
Again though I agree and understand the aspect of being more interested in exploration / combat but this game in particular does have survival aspects to it and undermining them may possibly result in his experience being worse.
It is speculation though because Vin just might not really care enough to put in that extra effort - which is fine, he can play his games however he likes.
Vinny and Jolly competing for who can come up with the most cursed bits
1:29:38 Vinny is lying in bed and wants to poop so he presses a button. The Thunderbirds theme starts playing and he drops a coiled poop onto a secret ramp leading into an underground facility where his poop is loaded onto a rocket and launched directly to the Oonga village.
Love the undistinguishable thumbnails it fits so well lol.
It's funny to watch everyone effortless crouch walk over the bouncing pad while Vinny blindly runs into it for 60 seconds until he reaches the other side.
Someone should have been tallying up the amount of times that Vinny breaks a leg in this.
Too damn high! ~~ Vinny McMillan III
probably in the high 60s in this whole series. maybe thats too conservative though.
So who's gonna tell Vinny he can craft duct tape?
48:39...... Bro....
@@macrohotline8834 He looks, but he does not see...
@@audixas1 trully vineblind moment
Every time vinny starts the super long pistol reload and then cancels it before it's done, take a shot.
leg injury & friends
We back with part 3
Vinny's eternal search for duct tape as he keeps on breaking his legs
Whenever he’s in a group of people Vinny sometimes feels like a guy trying to do standup comedy for the first time after his friends (the chat) told him he should
We back, Skin Pruners!
Boy it sure is lethal not to have company out here ha ha :') I hate myself
Vinny attention span in this part seems at 0 since he took all metal from table and Just left with it lmao
He literally did that the last episode too.
@@RetroBleck heh
Mans also sets things on the stove and absolutely destroys meat jumping around the base long after it's cooked right in front of him, not to mention him being VORACIOUS for duct tape repairing all the time and all that leg injury
Vinny was a little low-key heated about the incohesiveness of his friends😅
While he himself was incredibly incoherent
@@ArmoredChocoboLPs he did just stray off, but I was thinking, his friends said they couldn't hear the beeper. If that's true it's no surprise that they didn't follow.
@@ArmoredChocoboLPs I mean did anyone see the Super Monkey Ball stream? He had the entire Vinny roster fighting over the controller. Even Tom from Tom and Jerry made a guest appearance.
When Vinny said he Knew some about people rubbing uranium at there crotch he was of course referring to jerma As we all know Jerma uses Uranium to shower
Mhm, yes I can absolutely agree about knowing that...
...now anyways...
“It’s not gonna be as long” video is almost 3 hours long
To be fair, the first 2 were almost 5 hours each.
He was correct, the first two episodes were close to 5 hours. Nothing really incorrect about the statement.
@@RetroBleck it still a long a long video tho short is normal 20 minutes
It's literally closer to 2 hours than 3. Also, that's normal Vinny length, not 20 minutes
@@NatetheNerdy In general it’s not short and that’s why i said almost
it feels like this game is better suited for solo or with like 1 or 2 other people. it seems really difficult coordinating progress with a big group. it's definitely entertaining though.
To be fair, all of these guys have main character syndrome. I imagine a group of friends would have no problem working together.
1-2 feels to small, but 3-4 feels perfect
Soloing is really hard, especially in manufacturing
Those soldiers take a lot of damage and you can rapidly end up fighting tons of them
I am still amazed by what people can create with the Unreal Engine.
Vinny not picking up the rebar, hoses, screws is frustrating
I fell asleep to this and got woken up by the beeper thinking it was time for work (on a Saturday)
oh god the realization hit me. This is just first-person project zomboid
not really, it has similar elements in some areas but even then they are completely different. Not to mention this does not have perma-death. The most similar feature is choosing your job at the beginning and that's hardly enough to say it's exactly the same.
However it looks amazing and I can't wait to find the time for it
@@shortbreadheadIt also has the skill tree, a similar feel to base building, a similar but not as in depth needs and injury system. It's a weird blend of multiple survival craft games mixed with Prey 2017 imo.
I'm kind of afraid to say this, but with the way Vinny plays this game, is his Project Zomboid playthrough the same as this? I havent watched that session yet, keep it in my backlog.
Yeah pretty much
He made himself look like Kurt Cobain, ran off by himself, and tried to fight hordes till one of his babysitters picked him up in the van
the pistol with the duct tape on the slide is pissing me off, the gun literally wouldnt function with that duct tape on it. at best it would be a single shot pistol with you scrambling to remove the duct tape so it could actually feed the next round.
the animation when he pulls the pistol out shows the slide is actually cut in the middle and only the rear half slides, 'similar' to the desert eagle. It looks so horrendous and makes no sense.
Personally I think when your game has the base weapon accuracy of early-game STALKER SoC (worse, honestly - it's like leaning in Cruelty Squad) your guns should at least be able to down an enemy in 1-2 headshots. Otherwise using those guns feels horribly tedious.
Idk, it quickly became a non-issue for us. There is a [REDACTED] that both stun-locks and takes down most enemies with guns. There was like one (optional) portal that gave us trouble, but the enemy had a very favorable position in it and we were trying to bumrush them.
happy birthday vinny!
Vinny just keep duct tape in your inventory, you keep breaking your legs
Vinny, you gotta go HYAAT. Like Link. Then your legs won't break.
They added walkie talkies :D
Vinny and self humiliated friends
part 4 wen
Do you actually need a bed per person or is that just a roleplay thing?
I'm 5'13" to 5'14"
As a huge HL fan I've reeeeally wanted to play this, but my PC can't really run it. Hoping this gets released on consoles.
The DMV takes your height while you're wearing shoes, so you're around an inch shorter than your DMV height.
Why is the playlist order part 2-1-3?
Because that's the _secret_ code for the Vinesauce Vault where Mr. Dink keeps his most expensive grill.
Congratulations you finished reading my comment 🎉
me and jeff goldblum is boys
The game needs a VOX announcement system
Jolly seems... less than jolly
He is the embodiment of chaos
I have a question here. Is Vinny and his friends playing on a public server? Because there is another group that does have a base and are soldiers.
You'd be surprised how many video games there are that have AI enemies. It's actually been a thing since the 1970s. Maybe the modern generation forgot because of all the online pvp games.
are you a skinwalker
@@PosterityIslesNews No, and I just realised now after watching more of their game play they run into NPCs that are military. Also why does skinwalker have to do with anything. That is not the answer. That's a childish response.
@@RetroBleck Thank you for the better answer. I am and not they are so good it confusing to me if they human or just npcs.
@@RetroBleck I haven't forgotten just and not new to the game but it makes sense I watch Vinny early access video and get confused then I watch other videos and my question been answered. I may be part of modern generation but I like older games that come parted to newer ones but still like new ones. So, I've seen NPCs in lots of games with both older titles and newer ones. Some are concing to make me mistake them for real humans. Also not stupid just at times slow and easily confused.
you need to play garten of banban 7
nobody needs to play that
They should do what other games do with the food and present the norm as a buff. For example, what the current carry weight is, say it was dropped if you didn't eat but eating brought you up to what it should be presented as a buff. It's just a psychological thing that people don't like being penalized for not doing something but like being rewarded for doing a thing. It would also do away with being "hungry" as it's just a "buff"
Getting food is incredibly easy in this tho, with this many people its even easier since they could just split up a little bit to set up some plots and farm some water.
@@OrmylLP It's not about how easy it is, it's about changing the dynamic of it. That's why I suggested this idea since they were complaining about how it currently functions. If they changed how the food works to be like this it would push less people away without removing the system altogether by changing the mechanic from a punishment to an incentive to use
I miss when you'd stream co-op with mike.
1 minute gang
You need to learn to engage with the game's mechanics, not simply complain that it's too hard when you haven't even tried.
first?
I love this game but jesus is it unfun when it becomes "a vinny and jolly duo adventure".
I don't like jolly's personality ever since he started talking on his channel and it feels so cheap just having him follow vinny and fangirl all the time every time he plays with him
