I purchased the same camera some weeks ago. Many told me to have in consideration that this camera is from 2016 and I was well aware that the zoom and at least with a 1080 resolution would do it for me and I don't regret purchasing it at all. I have captured planes flying , mountains the moon and much stuff.

Dude this is like National Geographic! Crazy good zoom on that thing! I have all kinds of wildlife here, eagles, osprey and vultures. Would like to check them out like this.
Yeah man it has impressive zoom for a budget camcorder. Better than most of the expensive ones. It’s the perfect backup and bird watching camera for me. I used to see tons of ospreys when I lived in Portland. It would be cool to film some of them. Stay tuned I may become a bird watching channel hahah jk

Having recently bought one of these used but in exceptional condition. I learned its not good in low light conditions theres alot of background noise. So i bought a cheap 96led hotshoe light and a hotshoe bracket arm so i can atatch it to the camera. Next to no backgroumd noise now even in pitch black. Sound quality is good and zoom is fantastic. Have you tried zooming up to the moon its amazing. Downside is the zooming and focus motor noise and no option for black and white mode, and no option for 720p. Other than that fairly good camera.

Great camera, had mine for years and it’s still going, even though it’s been dropped and bounced 😂 The battery that came with it is still holding enough charge to film a full football (soccer) match for 90+ mins when used as a static camera (no zooming in and out) Quinny

It’s mainly for some bird watching videos. The zoom on this camera is way more powerful than the phone.

Hey Mark very helpful video. Ok I just bought one for taking close-up shots if the moon. Could tell me what would be the best zoom settings to get the closest clearest image if the moon.

Probably just the highest setting the 90x that’s on default
There are higher digital zoom settings in the menu , I think x1500 being the highest
90 zoom would be best, you can lock it in settings but you can go up to 500 but anything past 90 can get grainy and pixilated. First 50 is optimal zoom then it does intelligent zoom to 90, after that it does digital zoom to 500.
I also have v160. The screen is difficult to see when shooting outside the home. The light and clarity of the screen are insufficient. Do you recommend me to buy v180? What is the difference between v160 and v180?

Friends, why is this camera, if I have a 64GB SDXC memory formatted in the same camera, doesn't it record files larger than 4GB? It cuts the recording before 4GB, do you know what I can do so that it doesn't cut the recording before 4GB?
