Maria, I know exactly what you’re talking about with the fingers! My step sister has these same hand/finger gestures. Her and I were really close but she died 9 years ago. I’ve never commented this on your channel but you helped me sleep for the first 2 years after she died when I was a complete mess. I miss her dearly and every time I meet someone that has the same finger movements I’m immediately drawn to them. I thought I was crazy haha but I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s noticed this. Your videos are always spot on. Thanks for helping so many of us sleep ❤

how exciting! i love when ASMRtists have short nails! asmr is such a diverse experience-long nails can be so beautiful and elegantly entrancing, but when i think about my in person asmr experiences, the people in my life usually have short nails. my mom, my teachers, girls in class who would play with your hair-all short nails, with the hands themselves showing so much love and care :)

I think short nails/soft sticky fingers are so nostalgic and triggers for us is because that’s how children’s hands are, and we (most of us) experienced ASMR for the first time as children. Whether it was hair brushing or scalp massages, back tracing or face painting with other kids, we all remember that first ASMR experience ✨

Thank you Maria for this beautiful video. I'm wearing short nails for about 20 years now + no nail polish. My last nail polish was, as i was making christmas dinner for hours and hours. I had red nails and at the evening it was only the half of the polish left. I didnt even noticed it! I guess the polish went in to the food. 😂 I was so shocked about this, that i never put nail polish again. 😅

mother maria, can i please make a suggestion? i would love, LOVE a night time routine video, maybe in lofi style? i remember one video you made called "feminine grace & charm for sleep" where you were brushing your hair with the famous wooden brush, rolling your hair up in a neat bun, and putting on hand cream. lemme tell you, it was a really big trigger for me. i tried to find a night time routine video on your channel and shockingly realized you've never made one!! that video of yours i mentioned is the closest it gets to mimicking that, and i really crave to see the real deal. please consider 🥺🙏🏽

short nails trigger me more too! i think for me personally it's because it reminds me more of the people who gave me asmr (unintentionally) growing up: my mom, my friends, my friends' moms, teachers, etc. i didn't grow up with women with long acrylic nails but i know many people do. but it makes me feel more like it's a real interaction rather than something made specifically for a youtube video. thank you for the video maria!!

I love the short nails. The clicking of the nails is great, but the pads of the fingertips make such a great sound too. I also have a childhood memory of a girl named Desiree who used to play with my hair on the school bus. She had sort of 'sticky' fingers and it felt so good because it would pull my hair towards the roots.

Maria, I really like short nails triggers as you do! I really appreciate you can make this video cuz most of the triggers are made by long nails (I also like it but not that much). I recommend tapping on paper box and the voice made by finger pulp, both with the short nails. They are quite different from those made by long nails. Hope you may make another video about more short nails triggers!

Just personally I think I prefer longer nails with asmr but if the shorter nails are what makes you happy and bringing you joy then 100% they are the best choice. They're your nails girl keep them short if that's what makes you love them right now!
