I love how you said we need to go back to how we were as a child. I'm a mother now and with kids between the ages of 4 and 10. This past year I've been really trying to find myself again, who I was before becoming a mother and then I stumbled across your channel and I got excited watching all your book content. I was reminded how much I loved reading growing up as a kid and even in high school and I realized I stopped once I became a mother. I'm like wait, I forgot how much I loved reading! I've bought 20 books in like 3 weeks (lots of your recommendations) and I'm on my 5th book so far and I never would have thought I'd be able to read 4 books in 3 weeks. I love this comment. I'm not a mother myself, but I was chatting recently with a friend who is, and we were exchanging views on our experience of feeling erased. For me, it happened when I moved abroad for my partner's career and slowly felt my identity disappear. For my friend, it was becoming a mother that made her feel as though she'd lost herself and her identity. We both love having books as a way of finding ourselves again, and it's helped us to connect as friends. I love that books have done the same for you. I hope you enjoy many hours of happy reading. I’ve been thinking about making book content but wasn’t sure if I should create a separate channel or just post on this one that I’m already active on and working on building. I found you via your friend Alex! Her page was recommended on my feed first, I waterbed all of her stuff then came to yours. I’m excited to start my book content journey in 2024.
