A season two is such a good idea! Deli you should make a "20 years later" willow creek save file đ
I agree! I think that would be such a cool project to see!
Yes
Also wouldnât mind a mini LP in the 20 years later universe đ đ
EDIT Sorry for the Rant-y comment
While Iâd love to see deli do it and watch each townie and build happen for each world in base game or all dlc also I feel like the sims team should have planned for burn out when they didnât really make relationships the story lines are boring and you have to make up ever single thing your self when in the past with 2 & 3 you had the scripted events to lead you if you wanted to have a starting place or good story lines and real relationships with real drama but it seems the sims team ran by EA keeps getting lazier or more restricted because Ep worlds have gotten smaller Gp content has gotten more and more buggy Sp no longer exist basically and they gave up 9 kits on one year and then started the year with another one so Iâd like to see the sims team either stop making DLC content and focus on fixing all the bugs and problems or do a complete refresh of the base game at the very least but I fear that TS4 canât be saved due to the bad AI it was made on and the games basic functions and abilities being compromised by the AI limitations but Iâm not wanting a sims 5 currently because Iâm not a fan of the rumored stuff like Multiplayer or a Subscription based game
@@TheSystem.Co9 I'd be more interested in Sims 5 because they have the opportunity to start completely fresh with better everything (if they learned from their prior mistakes) but I'd only be interested in multiplayer if it's an optional feature where you can run a store with your friends or something (ala DrGluon and JamesTurnerYT formerly known as TheSimSupply haha.) That could also keep things fresh but it would take more planning and coding. If they did it right, it could be fun to play and fun to watch.
I don't care as much about the refresh personally; I'd like for them to fix Sims 4 before they start ignoring it forever. Unfortunately, like Sims 3 and Sims 2 before it, some glitches will probably end up permanent RIP.
I think you should renovate the house also considering the characteristics of the sims living in the house.
Iâd like that too! Give the bbfs a new house. Even if itâs 10 years later. Maybe 2of them are a couple now, higher careers, more money to have a nice house,...
Maybe this is Summers house now
Maybe Summer and Travis shacked up together and Liberty embraced her inner child for her new room đ
agree~~~
i suggest keeping elements of the bedrooms when renovating an occupied house so that it has the simsâs personalities in the house just like in the zest lot with his mic stand
In my Simworld I had the same idea. I like to create mostly two story homes, so I moved all the bedrooms upstairs and was able to add another bathroom and change some of the functions of the bedrooms downstairs (office for this work from home world) and a home gym because the back yard is a little tight for a lot of things in it.
I feel you should try to keep the vibes the same, like this was the house for the BFFs and now itâs a family home which would be awkward for friends to share. Iâd like to see the same âpersonalitiesâ for the house
You always have a great perspective on how to renovate a home from old to new... I love the new look!
I really like what you did with the house, although I am not sure the roomates living there will like the new sleeping arrangement...
Donât be embarrassed about sharing your intolerance issues, itâs nice to know that the people we look up to have normal issues too đ
Deli as a fellow lady with lactose intolerance I love hearing you talk about the runs, its just a part of our lives lol
About installing shiplap panels in your house, do look into doing it yourselves! Its not too difficult and might save you some time and money â€
I think it would be cool to rework spaces like the kitchen without deleting things like cabinets and maybe just updating appliances with a new paint job. Just to see how you can transform a space. Same thing with bathrooms as well. It seems like more or a challenge to me personally when I do it like that. And from someone who lives in a project house, YES EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE
at first I was like huh what about the bff household ?? but then I was like wait this is so much better and i see where you are coming from with the "season two" idea ! would you ever consider making the "season two" yourself and make a save file ? it could start off small in willow creek. it could be done on stream too ! I would watch it on twitch. Molly (EnglishSimmer) is doing that with a townie makeover !
I do really find it very interesting what you came up with for this build BUT you didn't take into consideration at all who lives there and I think this would take the challenge on a next Level. EA didn't do a good job with personalizing their builds to fit them I feel like your Renovations could do a much better job with it.
Love this and definitely agree we need some new generations of the townies and more lore and story between the townies! đđŒ
Certain things you shouldnât delete like TVs and computers. Possibly appliances if you wonât upgrade them. I canât forget about how when you made over Johnny Zestâs trailer and you went in on the decor and he didnât get his tv back đ€Łđ€Ł
I think thatâs fine. TVâs are kinda useless in the game, theyâre just used for routing sims toward/around them. Of course they can change your sims emotion easily but so can pretty much anything lol.
love this! would really like to see another version for the BFFs too, personalized for their personalities and traits!
I love this!!
Also, I would love to see the builds real time instead of speed build because I feel like Iâm doing it along with you đ„°
Something I haven't tried myself or haven't come across is a realistic/budget makeover. Eg changing kitchen cabinet swatches so it looks like the doors have been painted instead of a complete remodel. Changing out decor, painting walls, adding rugs etc. Also keeping big furniture but 'upcycling' it by changing the swatch. Basically making changes that are lower in cost than a full renovation in real life.
Edit:
You can also try to not move the walls as this is really expensive in real life
I honestly love this series of yours where you revisit basegame houses and update them! It's so much fun! Your houses always turn out so great, it's inspiring me to update the houses in my basegame too haha
I'm late but I loved this renovation!! I always find it so funny how the things that are most expensive to fix/renovate IRL (windows, roofs) are so cheap/free in the Sims. Also, it makes sense that the Cats and Dogs pack would have a Hamptons-y style because I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a New England town! It reminds me so much of the coastal towns I grew up going to in Maine and Massachusetts :)
I love the idea of a part 2 of the storyline with the current townies.
I think I will give this "challange" of renovating the current homes. It looks fun. I think the only criticism I would have with the renovation you did on this one, is that it doesn't really fit the current sims that live there. They are a bunch of young adult roommates, wouldn't really share a room together and only have one decent sized bedroom. Other than that, it looked good.
For the bigger lots I would like to suggest a mix build. Some in real time and some sped up. That way we get some of your thought process in the moment and understand the direction you're going for when it's sped up.
Maybe even have a 2 parter for 1 bigger lot. Just the outside/landscape and then furnishing. Just some thoughts đ
I have been thinking the same for a long time now - we desperatly need a overhaul of all the basegame worlds (that come with pre-built lots & sims)
Agreed, willow creek and oasis springs are so empty compared to later worlds, especially how some houses that arenât even started homes (like next to the pancakes) arenât even affordable with one sim
@@zachmakesstuff9866 Yeah and also having to start every new save with spending hours just making it playable when you own (practicaly) every pack is just so much work. Adding in restaurants, spas and such before even getting to the home your sim is going to live in and then possibly renovate it = putting in lights or redoing the garden or just making it work for that sim/family is like atleast a day or so of playing for me
A lot of stuff in your new house you and James could easily do yourself Deli! So, so, so many diy videos on CZcams and online make the process easier.
Far quicker and cheaper than waiting to hire people.
Hmm, a family home for three roomates seems odd to me. But the house does look amazing.
Hey Deli! Thanks for uploading at the time you do. It's perfect for me. Currently having a break at work and this makes for some light hearted entertainment to refresh myself. Hope you're well. Love from Ireland x
I love your revamp of this one. Not that your other builds lack anything. But in terms of number of floor plan wise this one does make so much more sense âșïž. I saw some others tend to have like 4 bedrooms but 1 bathroom or stairs but vertical stair. I mean I prefer something âpracticalâ and âreal lifeâ sort of plan, even though, itâs the Sims but that is kind of a beauty for a builder, you are facing a challenge.
you brighten my day!!
Also, it will be fun to see Hampton falls with all the packs we have now!!
Thank you, Deli for taking the time to make videos everyday & make our day! â„ïž
I like the idea of reusing stuff from the house as itâs quite realistic! If you had a renovation in your own home youâd keep some of your belongings đ„°â€ïž
Ah Deli, you have the most uplifting energy! Your smile never fails to carry me along with it, and I am one grumpy old git, so that is genuinely impressive!
Great build! And I second the idea of a new batch of townies in Willow Creek (& Oasis Springs)
I would love to see a split screen of the before and after of each room! I love your designs
Season 2 is a really good idea. I would love to see a refresh of the base game in general. I empathise, my partner is also lactose intolerant and from what heâs told me it is not fun if he accidentally eats food containing lactose.
I love the style of the interior of this house!! The living and kitchen area *chefs kiss* â€ïž
The narrow long houses of Willow Creek are modeled after "Shotgun Houses" except they don't have a backdoor. A shotgun house is exactly what it says...if you open all the thru you could shoot a shotgun blast straight thru it. They were built in Southern states of the US after the Civil War. My grandmother lived in one in Houston and it's still standing.
I love the colours you used in this build. They're soft and really give the place a nice feel.
Looking forward to more; always interested to see what you come up with for these!
And I have no issue with you sharing body stuff! I'm mildly lactose intolerant, and it's something a lot of people can relate to. Sorry you had an unpleasant experience! >.
Such a cute renovation! I can't think of the name off hand, but the house middle right in Windenburg would be a fun reno.
I've done this recently myself, I modernised the inside and kept the outside aesthetic and redid the layout inside.
when you were talking about the panel wall it made me think that if you would be comfortable with it i think many of us would love to see the renovations of your house in progress. maybe some vlog style videos. just an idea!
I love this reno!! Can't wait to use this in my game play. Also, you are glowing, Deli. đ Stay safe!
I just redid this lot today in my own safe file! I made 4 seperate houses and a communal garden, they all have the same amount of space (100 tiles) but completely different styles :)
I love that your doing this! Iâve downloaded all of them and have a family living in the riddle rose house! Waiting for the wedding pack so she has johnnie can have a lovely day! Thank you deli!! Love you!
I would call those Seasons windows/doors Craftsman style which is very common across the US. The Sears catalog used to sell the plans and materials so people could build their houses themselves very affordably from like the early 1900s to the 20s. Are houses more modern in Australia? Because I'd say Craftsman and '70s split level houses are the most common in Ohio where I live, followed by the occasional Colonial and Victorian. Even the houses from the '70s aren't usually modern, although people are starting to build "modern" farmhouses with white metal siding that are going to look extremely dated in my opinion. Think Chip & Joanna Gaines
This is basically how all newly-renovated homes in America look!! It's not my favorite look by far (so much grey, especially on floors, not for me!) but you nailed it.
Like that build a lot. But I really would love to see LP here. I miss that a lot. Your LPs been always so nice.
Omg this is probably my FAVOURITE transformation! I'm serious I cant believe it!
when you said "next generation of Pancakes" my brain started spiraling on a save file of the "future" - does anyone have that? like a save file with the next gen living in their homes, Alexander's family + kids, Iggy Pancakes and his family, baby Landgraabs all grown up and family feuding all throughout Oasis Springs? I'd loooove that
Nicely done (as always!)... not sure if the girls will like sharing the "children" bedroom but oh well đ đ đ I hope your tummy is better today, Deli...poor dear! đđđ
hey deli! i love vids like this where u walk us through the build as u do it. i like speed builds, but this is def preferred ily
I've started Inventing Anna yesterday and was the same, really binged and enjoyed it. Was very interesting!
If you haven't tried already give hipages ago. I was sceptical before using it but I got trades that were prepared to give a quote and do the job. Otherwise give it a go yourself. You'll learn heaps during the process and feels so satisfying upon completion.
Ohh I loved how this turned out! Crazy that itÂŽs just a little bit more expensive than the original house! đ
Actually what I think about "next generation" is: isn't this exactly what playing Sims is about? I mean, isn't this exactly what is on us to create when playing the Sims? I have a save where I played with almost every default family (well, the interesting ones that have a home) and let them all age, so they are all in their second or third generation. It takes time but to me that's kinda what this game is about^^
On the other hand, let's be real for a second. This game is about building.
In my most recent save, I ended up deleting everyone and replacing them with new Sims. I'm talking Every. Single. Townie. (I own every EP and GP) It was so time intensive đ But so worth it to finally see some new faces around town!
You always put a great perspective on old to new in renovating houss ... Luv tha new look !
The game save I mostly play is a legacy family where everyone lives in one lot. This is the lot they live in. Iâve changed the house in many ways through generations, so it is weird to see itâs original look now.
I love these renovation videos! What if, though, they were renovated based on the sims in the home? Like instead of there having been a room for two kids, since no kids live in the house, it was either a double bed for young adults or a 3 bedroom home like before? Just wondering, as none of the sims in the home were children. :)
I love the limited funds concept. It means we can place the house without messing up the storyline. Very nice.!
Hey deli, I feel like you renovated this house with the idea of having an updated family live here, possibly either summer holiday, Travis Scott, Liberty Leeâs family. If other Simmers remember correctly the description regarding the BFF household is that both women have a crush on Travis. In my 100 baby challenge I had my founder have a baby with Travis Scott. And then later had him marry Summer Holiday and moved liberty Lee out to the first house you renovated actually. Travis passed away relatively quickly so itâs currently just an elderly summer holiday. I intend to move one of The triplets that Travis Scott had into that home to start their own family there. This house update is actually probably perfect for my save. We just donât have the kids yet.
Liked how the house turned out after. You could also do a makeover for the sims to go with their new homes
I like the idea of different "seasons" of The Sims 4. Even though in some ways I like the world system in TS4 better than 3 (aside from the constant loading screens and seeing the same townies everywhere you go), I think it's cool how TS3 was able to have different worlds set in different time periods, and I've always thought that could be accomplished by using a few different base saves. You could choose to play with the default townies or their kids or maybe even go back and play with their parents. It would be a good way to add lore to all the characters too. And it could totally be done in TS4 without really changing much.
The one thing about redoing all the lots is that it might replace the creations that people have already made in their own saves, and if they do it so that only new saves have the refresh then someone might want one of the lots in their old save file but not the others and they want to continue their save file without loosing progress
I would love to see all the sims get a makeover as well đ©đ©đ
Yess
Wait this is house is actually a vibe itâs so freaking cute it gives me like kindâve rich single mom ! Itâs so pretty
Inventing Anna was so amazing!! I enjoyed the whole thing it was also an interesting moral question ya know? Like was what she did thatttttt bad? Idk it was interesting
I love your house makeovers because I learn so much! Awesome results Deli!
your reno's are always so lovely! i love the canopy idea~
Deli you should look into DIYing the shiplap wall in your IRL home, I used Easycraft panels from Bunnings for mine! Worked out so much cheaper and it was so easy
doing that feature wall yourself is actually pretty easy! i did it just from looking it up on youtube, it saved me so much money!
such a lovely home, great renovation! I also love the small tips you give through your building :D
Please keep doing this "series"
I love that you educate us as you build. Would love to see a video about cheats and tips for playing the game. Like how to build that canopy was nice, but how to control the camera better when you build or during game play. I think youâd be so good at teaching all of us those things.
I totally agree with you, I really hope that the Sims team updates the entire base game at some point!
The story I imagined for this one is one of the BFFs moved out and the other two got together, started a family, and kept the house! I would've been interested in seeing it as an adults-only room mate build too.
I am not lactose intolerant, but have the same problem with milk. Any other produce with milk - no problem, but milk - a no no for me. The past few months I've been using just lactose free milk and my tummy is happy. đ
And I would love to see you reusing more of the existing furniture đ
Hugs and love to you, James and Bowser đ„°đđđ
I absolutely love your video style. It feels so much more relaxed than from your old videos!
Besides creating Willowcreek 2.0 and updating the families, they could add one or two iconic families from the previous games, like the ET one from Sims 2. I believe they were called the Curious family? It's the one with three guys where one of them is pregnant with an alien.
Loving these videos, I really want to go through now and renovate all the game homes/worlds
yayyyy itâs my birthday so this is a great present hahah
Happy Birthday! đđ
@Jo Show thank youuuu :)))) yayy
about the tv show you talked about - girl just enjoy whatever you want. donât let other people make you second guess the things you enjoy, itâs not worth it. if you enjoy something harmless, youâre perfectly fine :)
Love it, Deli. Great job with the "Hampton" look and feel. So chill to watch your vids. xxxx
i love the way you renovated this house it looks way much better, you really took advantage of the open space, well done!
Deli! you should do a video of a build or reno using ONLY cc objects. Love your videos đ
i feel your pain about finding a contractor. a couple of years ago my mom and i needed some work done on our roof (plus some interior stuff and new floors) and it was a nightmare trying to find a contractor. itâs so weird how they donât get back to you⊠youâd think theyâd want the work. for about a year after we completed the project we were still getting calls and it was like⊠yâall are too late now lmao.
I really love the colors in this build!
i love your videos so much, Deli! you have such bright personality and extreamly good sense of style. rays of loove to you!
At least in Canada, it's very hard to find contractors for small jobs like that wall. There is no shortage of work, so unless the project is $15k+, it's not worth their time. That looks like it would be a pretty simple wall to do yourself though? Just a simple tongue and groove wood wall? You could probably do it yourselves for much cheaper. đ
I live in NJ, a couple of hours away from the Hamptons and today I learned what âhamptonâs styleâ is lol! đ
I also binged inventing anna- we have so many movies and shows about cool scammers, don't worry about enjoying some fun scammer content đ humans love watching smart people to crazy things, scamming included lol. It doesn't mean all of a sudden I feel compelled to swindle people for money
It would and definitely add a story line. I hope you feel better đđœâ€ïžđđœ
Loving this series of renovations! Keep doing it Deli
As for the whole redo of the neighborhoods with the next generations, I would say yes, but only if they did it a certain way. That way would be having the option to play version 1 or version 2 when you click new game, so what the game started with isn't lost and players can choose what version. If they just did the redo over what the game started with, then I would say no because I haven't had enough time to play with the worlds as they are.
As for what house should be next, here are some suggestions:
Willow Creek
Brook Bungalow and Riverside Roost
I would say redo one of these houses for the BFF household and move them there, since their house no longer works for them. I think the Riverside Roost would be good for them as there is plenty of room upstairs to add a 3rd bedroom or just have two single beds in one of the rooms for Liberty Lee and Summer Holiday.
Oasis Springs
Agave Abode, Granada Place, Nookstone, Raffia Quinta, Sandtrap Flat, Springscape, Vista Quarry and Yuma Heights
Windenburg
Rustic Residence, Havisham House, Proprietor's Square
San Myshuno
one of the penthouses in FountainView Penthouse and one in Torendi Tower Penthouse, maybe one apartment in the Spire Apartments, The Old Salt House
Brindleton Bay
Bedlington Boathouse, Domus Familiaris, Hound's Head, Ragdoll Refurb
Del Sol Valley
Chateau Peak, Inner Circle
StrangerVille
Carpophagous Corner, Slip 42
Sulani
Admiral's Wreckage, Caldera Camp, Lagoon Look, Pier Perfection, Tangled Flat
Britechester
Honeydew Fields
Evergreen Harbor
Canal Corner, Rockridge Springs, The Shipping Views, some or one of the apartments in Pinecrest Apartments and the Stonestreet Apartments
I am craving for Skandinavia pack! I want something that is inspired BY finland, sweeden, iceland, norway etc. Like even nordic inspired. I need that, we allready have very british pack with cottage living đŹ
Sorry you've not been feeling well, hope you feel better soon! Gorgeous build đ
love watching your vids beefore bed. They're so relaxing â€â€
Iâm loving these renovation videos!! đ„°đ„°đ„°
The only thing I know about the Hamptons is that rich ppl vacation there for 3 months in the summer haha
The build turned out really pretty, I like it.
Its so funny how simmers want everything nice, light, spacious, gorgelus, lavish, comfortable, and also ram all the children together in te tiniest room in the house
The house looks A LOT better now. My favorite part is the awning. It looks so pretty.
I'd love if you renovate the houses in the upper left of this town. They're nice but have some weird construction. Most people either keep it relatively the same or do a 180, I'd love to see something in between
I wouldnt mind watching a 3 hr long build of the big houses but thats just me đ Iâve never been a fan of speed builds i rather see it happen in real time because its more in depth.
