    Hello, thanks for your informative video. I've heard about this peg placement dilemma, and you have explained it clearly. Thank you.

    I came to the same conclusion as you riding the GT. The C5 is a more comfortable ride and a more natural chilled out seating position to be in. Also yes putting the side stand down is a little more awkward on the GT, the foot peg is in the way. Lovely bikes though. Well done Royal Enfield. I've enjoyed all your post Warro cheers.

    Hi I only sat on this bike in the showroom and found the foot peg a deal breaker for me. I bought the super meteor 650 and extended the gear shift rubber to line up with the foot peg. Thanks for sharing

  • @Joseph-ei7gg
    @Joseph-ei7gg Před 2 lety

    Yes, the C5 and the new classic 350 have more forward pegs…but those make my back hurt!
    The peg placement on the int 650 is actually more comfortable for me. You’ll have to find your own comfort zone.

    If you don't mind, can you tell me how tall you are? I'm looking for my 1st bike and I'm 5'7" I went to the dealer and sat on the Interceptor and the GT and both felt top heavy and the seats felt a bit high. I noticed right away the foot peg position on the Interceptor and I was like have am I suppose to walk this backwards to park? If I were 6ft tall, sure, no problem, but as a short guy, the pegs were right in my calfs as you showed. The Cont GT peg position was fine for me, but the seat high felt even higher. That might have been the preload on the rear springs. Have you thought about moving the pegs, shifter and the brakes further back like the Cont GT?

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  Před 3 lety +1

      5.9 - well they are a bit top heavy and thats the very first thing i noticed too...lol sure the pegs will stab you in the calf but if you bring your legs behind -you can walk it back quiet easy just in smaller steps. i did it on a demo in one of my clips -not sure if it was this bike or the previous ravishing red.
      you'll get use to it and after a while you will take no notice of the peg position at all.
      plus once the bike is on the move its a very good overall package which is hard to beat.
      this new chrome version i have i've done 6000 kl and no real issues and no complaints about the pegs

    G;day Warro, I know this video's a couple of years old now, but history seems to have repeated itself with the Classic 350, don't think you've mentioned it on any of your reports of the 350. I find the domed nuts really painful on the 350's pegs, don't know what they're for, as they're on the interceptor as well. wonder if you've got any ideas? Thanks for the great video!

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  Před 2 lety

      if its on the underside of the peg i think its just a lean angle indicator and scraped when you hit the sealed stuff and lets you know dont go further or it could be a problem

  • @NoelAbhi1
    @NoelAbhi1 Před 3 lety +2

    I test rode the interceptor a few days ago and the foot pegs really do get in the way... It was a huge deal breaker for me. I was stopping in traffic alot and the foot pegs interfered quite a lot. Never felt this kinda awkwardness in any other bikes so far...

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  Před 3 lety +1

      true they do feel funny at first and in doing so one misses the actual gear change lever...lol but saying that the more you get on and ride - in the end that changer position is sort of wiped from your memery and getting on and riding off soon becomes just a second thought

    Great and very informative 👍👏video. I found that out just sitting on it prior to test drive. That was a DEAL BREAKER for me and decided not to test it. Maybe installing "forward controls " would solve that issue for me.

      actually a pretty good bike and good value for the money. i think it could be TEC bikes in the UK that does a footpeg conversion but i must say after you get use to it and it doesn't take long-in the nd it becomes second nature and you take no notice of them

      I hooked my pant leg one time, almost went over. So I moved mine down 3" and fwd 2" by adding an extension out of 1/4" plate sprayed black to match.. looks good! I can now stand missing the pegs. Also moved the pillion pegs fwd 5" and down 2". Had to change the linkage, other than that with a metal blade/jig saw and a drill press it was an easy job for under 20 bucks..

    3000 kms on my '22 and it's still annoying, I daresay unsafe, I have to pay close attention when stopping. It's not a deal breaker for me however - it's my 20th bike and it's lovely otherwise. I have a set of Tecbike adjustables on order. The other thing to watch out for are the little rubber covered wire heat guards on the cylinder heads. I have caught my pants on them several times - could easily cause a fall when stopping too.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  Před 2 lety

      yeah its a pretty silly position those pegs but in time one gets use to them and eventually forgets about it totally.

    It's kind of a challenge for short riders like me to stop the bike and balance it when you don't have much space. I'm 5'6" and embarrassingly dropped it on my way home while stopping at a fuel pump. 😆 Now I just place my feet at the back of the pegs instead of going over them at the sides.
