Something about the story don't seems right. The reason he flee was because he fear for his life . We also cannot judge a person like a book becuz we don't know the whole story untill that is clear up in the matter.
My opinion is he should have to go in jail and no excuse for smash grant's head with big rock like very ruthlessly and cruel. It's not accident or manslaughter, it is definitely murder.
We are all called to be friendly towards all mankind and do no violence to anyone. As for Mavrick, he could claim self-defense, but he will probably have no such justification for his claim.

Comparing cost to bail mavrick fisher out of the jail with 100,000 dollar cash but do the math, I dont think he will not come out at all, I know you guys continue want him in prison for life but waiting for next on oct 23 by judge decided to send him in prison or reduce bail. All right, here goes what I think about this video: If Maverick Fisher was the black deaf guy here, the criminal courts won't go soft on him due to the non-stoppable bigotry and racism within the justice system (dominated by white people). I think Maverick is very fortunate that he is able to get the bail, despite the fact that it's really costly expensive. I can't even begin to imagine what he is going through this due process, yet I know from a black man's point of view, it won't be simple. African-Americans who committed similar types of crimes that Maverick Fisher did, yet he pleads "not guilty", are the ones in jail ten times longer than whites. I'm just saying if Maverick was black, he'll get a very much longer sentence than whites. I know for a fact that they do. Again, he has white privilege and is lucky to have family members and supporters to make sure of returning him home. I doubt I can say the same thing for people of color or blacks in this subject. I mean, if they were in Maverick's shoes, like right now, the justice system will make sure they stay in jail nearly as long as it takes.
The American justice system is flawed and broken, but this should not prevent justice from being served as Mavrick most certainly knew it was wrong to kill a human being. It is rather unfortunate when people do things in the heat of the moment that they will later greatly regret.

Maverick is a freaking murderer. The evidence was literally in his own words, in his text messages, and by his own account when speaking with the detectives). He clearly knew that it wasn't self defense. His sentence was laughable. What is even more unbelievable, is the fact that he was released after only serving one year! One year for taking the life of an innocent man. Just, ughh, unbelievable. But the only reason he's walking free today is because the prosecution screwed up. They NEVER should have added the charges of manslaughter to the indictment, bothinvoluntaryandvoluntary. If the jury couldn't find him guilty of first degree premeditated murder (which Ididn't understand how they couldn't), then their only other option was one of the manslaughter counts.
