Sherman Fury Walkaround

The Tank Museum at Bovington, UK, was involved in the filming of the movie 'Fury' in 2013 by providing the main 'hero' Sherman tank and Tiger 131, as well as tank drivers. 'Fury' in the movie is an M4A3E8 Sherman and as the museum's Sherman is an M4A2E8 (diesel rather than petrol engine), props were placed on the engine deck to disguise it. This M4A2E8 was built in March 1945 at the Fisher Tank Arsenal in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and was probably supplied to the British Army during the Second World War for evaluation. The main armament is a 76mm gun. 'Fury' is currently in the museum's 'Tanks for the Memories' exhibition about tanks in popular culture, but runs in the arena regularly at museum events.
