Aina More x Serge Wesley Bloquert - We Are Royal

A visual presentation inspired by the For My People Movement, amplifying the message in the new record from Aina More, featuring Seun Kuti. Presented is the Royal African gown designed by Serge Wesley Bloquert in collaboration with Aina More.
The futuristic royal African inspired piece draws inspiration from pre-colonial African Machiarchial societies, such as Madagascar, which is also the ethnic origin of designer Bloquert. Adorned with chains, the piece features details which are intentionally broken down and torn away to unveil layers of the piece as part of the presentation of the design which tells a story of the new generation of Africans taking up space and breaking free from (literal) and metaphorical chains.
