Spiritual and mental growing pains. What if feels like when a stronghold is being challenged or torn down.
You will feel a frustration and wrestling match a warring back-and-forth in your mind with the way you’ve been thinking for years. and trying to embrace the new things that God is putting in you
We relapse because that old mindset pops up and it scares us and we start to think that we are not okay and never healed in the 1st place. So if I can’t overcome this then why even try I might as well just succome to my addiction , hurt habit or hangup.
Your flesh wants to hold onto that stronghold that doesn’t want it to be torn down. Your flesh wants to keep it the old way the old habit hurt and hangup. It’s a self preservation its carnality. It’s self preservation or the flesh trying to preserve itself. It’s that carnal mindedness. To be carnally minded is enmity against God, but to be spiritually minded is life.Romans 8-6-11
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds,
5 casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ,
