I thought the fall out happened in 2019 when the Carlyle Group (Katie’s husband is a part of) back Ithaca Holdings (scooters company) in buying Taylor’s catalog.
Olivia Rodrigos music keeps being compared to Taylor’s with very similar sections of tracks. People have been doing overlays and they are very similar. I just found it interesting but maybe it caused tension somewhere.
Yeah, Scooter Braun wouldn't have gotten the capital in time without Karlie's husband's help. So I had always assumed that's why they stopped talking...

I see where Ria’s coming from abt the Uber drivers oxygen tank. I think anyone while believing that everyone should have the opportunity to work and make money would upon entering the vehicle have a passing thought of “are they safe to drive?” Obviously you wouldn’t knw what his condition is. But Fran made the good point that if he’s driving for Uber then he must’ve been cleared. I appreciate Ria’s honesty find her disclaimers funny bc it’s indicative of the fact that u can’t express any thoughts these days even if not ill intentioned and gracefully expressed without folks popping blood vessels and screaming at you for not knowing everything as if they do
My guess is that Karlie wants to be in the squad again while Taylor hasn’t thought about her in years 😂 A star like Taylor is only reachable by phone and I’m sure Karlie doesn’t have her new number. She knew it would be likely that she’d get photographed there and hoped Taylor would see.
I think she has a newborn and doesn’t care and isn’t going to try to beg someone who was once her best friend to be friends with her again after going years without speaking….. and since when is there still a “squad”? I think (hope) they’ve grown out of that

I love you guys, but I'm really confused about the enthusiasm for Dave buying back Barstool. In addition to him being awful to Ria personally, I could never support him after comments saying a girl deserved to be raped to be "taught a lesson," or that it's okay to have sex with a girl who is passed out drunk (which is rape), or that he doesn't care if Trump is racist and sexist...it's just this white guy entitlement that doesn't care about the oppression of others because it doesn't affect him. Just so gross and I really hope you ladies don't have these same views as him...which I don't think you do, but I don't understand the enthusiasm for him buying back the company.
I have a theory that they never had a “friend falling out.” This was giving break up. And it was only shortly after that she started dating Joe. Cruel Summer is like a gay anthem and she changed the lyrics to “her midnights” for this specific show for New Year’s Day. Gaylor Swift is back yall (also jk so don’t come for me but also kinda not kidding?)
