I'd say all seasons of DanMachi are really good. You can literally see Bell's character development through each season. My guy went from running from Minotaurs to becoming someone who could survive the deeper floors, with guidance of course.

Yeah S4 definitely did the LN justice. Probably because they got more budget making it possible for 2 cours and involving the author Fujino Omori himself in the production ( of course some details were left out but thats normal in LN anime adaptions )

Going from season 1 you can see the series which was bright and goofy getting more serious, and darker as the story goes. Kind of mirroring Bells start as a newbie solo adventurer to a mature leader. Season 4 was seriously dark, and showed the brutality that comes with becoming stronger and facing bigger threats. From the revenge to the scab aging of bodies for survival trapped well into a place outside your level. The entirety of that arc is brutal, and cruel. Also it is probably the first time on screen we see an entire party fight a boss monster without the two pro tags of the entire thing.

S4 put so much good emphasis on the Dungeon and how our hero Bell still ain't shit, this mf keeps getting separated from his group. Im glad they didnt rely on him much and he got to have his own taste of dungeon life. Gave a chance for Great combat/ character building with the party team lol they slayed the floor dungeon. There's definitely room for him to grow. Plus he literally taught us how to pick up girls in the dungeons. Mfs gotta hero simp like no tomorrow jk. Ryu was great, now shes on god tier mode. Fuck the ship w Aiza or whoever else. Yea you better work that Rabbits foot for that harem ooo yes great Season!!
I just happened to rewatched danmachi, and I'm shocked to see season 4 is this good. It was intense for real. Season 2 and 3 was a bit boring but season 4 is good! Very underrated for sure
If only other harem anime take the time to develop a relationship instead of making the person fall for the MC 5 days after they first met like what ? ( Probably due to rushed anime adaption so I dont know ) in that way harem anime would be better

Danmachi is definitely not your typical harem anime. Sure, season 1 definitely had it’s share of fan service tropes, but it never went over the top with it. Season 4 was amazing! All the characters of the Hestia family had their own character development moments. The personal growth of Bell and Ryu was done incredibly well! Since, I’m not a reader of the mangas/light novels, I can’t wait to see what season 5 has in store for this series.
It's actually a really good story especially now and just in case you're wondering the author is currently having an internal battle with who Bell is going to end up with because it's very obvious that the elf is significantly better for him but the author had already made up the ultimate romantic conclusion for the end of the story but even the editors and of course the fans and the author are like "that doesn't make sense anymore" but the author is holding on.
For me out of all the girls, I want Bell to end up with Ais and Ryuu. We got proper development for Ryuu falling for Bell while Ais's development will have to wait when Bell's reaches at least High Level 5 to be able to form a scenario like Bell and Ryuu as per S4 P2. Plus this is the only one with proper development for romance as one, Bell most of the times save the girls which then leading to them having one sided feelings and I dont see Bell getting together with them aside from Ais and Ryuu. I dont think Hestia will get together with Bell as isn't she known as a virgin goddess in Greek Mythology so getting into a romantic relationship with Bell will just ruin her identity ( Currently reading the LN so not sure if Bell has that kind of feelings for Hestia as season 2 skipped a lot ) I have to read Vol 8 of the LN first
