I ordered Rainbow Children and One Night from estate and still haven't recieved them. They told me it was sent May 27th. Should have been here by now.

With you on same disc picture usually you have to search for tiny 1 or 2 and my eyes arent what they were! Luckily ears are fine.

The other day when I received my Up All Nite With Prince boxset and The Rainbow Children vinyl, I was listing to One Nite Alone Live and then I realized I had to go somewhere soon so I was like I should get ready to leave now. Then all of the sudden when When You Were Mine was playing, Prince said "Can I play my guitar" and I was like"Let's stay a little longer!"

I love 1 nite alone live. Its probably my favourite album of Prince. Live at the Aladdin has a beautiful version of Sometimes it snows in April. Brings tears 2 my eyes. Greetings from Chile

Finally got my copy of it and it cost $100 NZD, you can't even buy them in the stores, but actually had to mail order it! Thank God I also bought a 7 inch Letitgo picture single and two Time 12 inches and a Sheila E 12 inch to go with it.

I'm glad it was reissued.....used to be so pricey. Packaging is much better than the original. All of the deluxes should have similar dimensions like this

Just letting you know that I got mine today and I agree with you the package was not the best and mine was okay, the box looked fine, sorry yours wasn't that breaks my heart but you being so excited makes me happy. Thank you for letting me know that there was another box set, I got the first one and absolutely love it and I've heard a few on this one and I love it so far awesome box set and music. I had the One Nite Alone live. I always thought this to be his jazz era along with Rainbow Children and NEWS. This was his first live CD and thought it had more in common with The Rainbow Children than the One Nite Alone piano CD.
Mine is supposed to arrive today! I jumped right in on the pre-order for both the Up All Night set & Rainbow Children, but then got the notice that shipping would be delayed due to covid. 😷 Stupid covid. 😒 Anyway, I have heard the albums before, including One Nite Alone... Live. I could listen to his cover of A Case of You & Arboretum forever.... The One Night Alone album is so soothing. 😌 I've also seen the concert clips & that DVD is definitely going to be part of my Thursday evening. 📺 His duet with Nikka Costa, A Whole Lotta Love, Gotta Broken Heart Again, You Want Me, Family Name, Everlasting Now ... just all of it! 😁 & you say there's even more on the DVD? Yes, please & thank you kindly!

i found this album when i was at uni and previously i just thought he was a bit cheesy. then when i listen to this whole live album i was hooked big time. its the album i recommend to anyone who isnt into prince and i just say hes completely different live!! Seen prince live twice. best gigs ive ever been to
Awesome! I much prefer this tight sexy package compared to the rather awkward original box for one night alone live. This is a great choice for anyone who didn’t get these mostly rare releases first time, and if you’ve already got them it’s a great opportunity to reappreciate this underrated era of P’s music.

Got all the vinyls and the cd boxset! It’s all great! You will enjoy the live album. Personally I like the live version of “family name” a bit more than the studio version. FYI I’m assuming the prince estate is partnered with music today and they stink at packing! Many times I had to exchange things from being damage! The return process is a pain in the butt too! I just get mine through amazon. They do a pretty good job with those things. ✌️

He’s actually an incredible guitarists and I think a lot of people overlook that.
There is a unfortunate typo on that Sony Legacy ONA Live CD reissue set. The Lakeland concert was on Saturday April 6, 2002 not Thursday April 4 as printed. I was a member of the NPG Music Club and that was my first Prince concert.
It is kind of funny how the Rainbow Children record is more expensive than the cd box set but it kind of makes sense because the record has a prince slip mat, 2 clear records, and a booklet with lyrics. I feel that they were a little cheep with the box set. The box is very thin and the design started peeling off of mine and I had to use a glue stick to fix it.

I really like your reviews. I am very happy to have this because this was my favorite Prince concert. However, my only gripe is they didn’t remaster the dvd, it should have been HD and and the music should me sound more clear and crisp.

"I'm a font guy" Ha! We all have our thing. So I got the One Nite Alone live triple disc for my birthday like 10 or so years ago and Disc 1 & 2 look different, but have the SAME Music...arrrrgggh! I tried taking it back to Best Buy, but they didn't have any more copies. I called the company who manufactures it and they started the blame game with another company, so I just gave up. So I will be purchasing these! Thanks for the unboxing video brother. Stay safe in these times!

I have mine... They had changed the availability dates. This was supposed to be available April 17th. I rushed to pre order due to I missed out on 1999 super deluxe cause I drug my feet. So they changed the date said available the end of May Amazon was due to send June 2nd. Haven't listened to the entire set. My favorite might be avalanche like that CD with the nest on it. Bought it for the concert footage. I never had the pleasure of going to a concert. Can't wait to see it. I also like how it's boxed & the booklet. When I use to purchase LPs especially with prince I use to read all the notes & thank yous . His albums were real treats cause he usually included lyrics which I always appreciated. This is really nice set. I hope the estate will redo his mad house collection. Never got to hear it when it was available. I did see a video for #10 I really enjoyed it. Thanks for your unboxing

The CD Boxset is just cool. And it's actually worth the $40. One thing though, I ordered the Rainbow Children and One Nite Alone... records on vinyl. I got Rainbow Children but instead of sending me ONA, they sent me One Night Alone...LIVE. I don't know how that happened seeing how it's a $50 difference but fair enough Prince Estate. I'll get my One Nite Alone record someday.
Also Xenophobia is a hit for me.
That packaging is the reason my Chaos and Disorder and Versace were both broken!! Their packaging sucks!!😠 The Prince Store did replace those and sent it in bubble wrap packaging. Wish they'd stuck with it. My package from this One Nite Alone and other CDs was damaged the same as yrs. We have 2 get them 2 use different packaging/shipping materials. Maybe u can influence em?😁💜💜

Beautiful set, thanks for the video. Since I have all of these on CD already, I am keeping mine sealed, so great to see it unboxed. I do like how thin it is, but at the same time, I miss the folding CD cases as handling the CD in the mini slips makes it very difficult to not get fingerprints on it, and, aesthetically, being able to unfold the flip CD cases and see the entire CD displayed is much more preferable to me personally.
Glad you enjoyed the video. and that makes sense, enjoying the tactical experience is important too!
@@PrincesFriend Amen, and indeed. The tactile and aesthetic are such a large part of the experience for me. I don't just want to hear the music, I want to hold it, feel it, and see it. I know you and many others here can relate to that. The vinyl resurgence has slowed down the ultimate demise of the physical medium itself, which I am happy about, but unfortunately, I think the writing is on the wall.
I still listen 2 the original Box - only thing missin is da piano album. DVD was bad quality - think dey haven’t restaur8@ yet like da video in da Purple Rain deluxe edition :(

I ordered mine from Amazon and had it in my hands the day after the “release date”. Mine was in the same corrugated packaging. I like the look of the set, but I already own all of these so this purchase was simply to support the continued release of music. The only item I really wanted was the book, but sadly I am about done with “donating” to their releases. I really need/want new music.
I tried to order from the estate for the same reasons you listed, but I got caught up in a forgot password/user name rabbit hole and they never sent reset. After 2 days I gave up and ordered from Amazon.

This box set is tough for me. I really don't dig the Jehova's Witness thing he was doing around this time. I can't stand Rainbow Children. And I already have the original big One Nite Alone Live box set and the Night at the Aladdin DVD. But I really want a CD copy of One Nite Alone, which I only have in digital download. I'll probably break down and buy this, but it's tough to buy a bunch of stuff I already have, from my least favorite section of Prince's career.
