If this came on our screens today, I’m not sure it would have the same impact as it did in the 80’s. These were just ordinary kids finding their way in showbiz, and the simplicity and beauty of the various arrangements inspired me to teach myself the piano. This tune was one of the first I learnt. Was my pleasure only a couple of weeks ago to meet Lee Curreri in person and pass on my gratitude. Super guy.
I just got the DVDs, and I watch on Thursday night at 8 o'clock just like when I was in high school. But during that time, I was grounded a lot. (really LONG story), so I missed some of the first season. I don't recall seeing this episode before tonight. This is a really pretty song. Bruno was always my favorite character on this show and I love when he sang solo. (especially if it was something he wrote like this song).
What do you do When you think the whole world is laughing at you? Do you cry or take a walk and wonder why? Did you ever ask As the twilight rush hour faces pass Am I small? Or can I fly above and conquer them all? City sounds form a music in my mind Every melody I pull from the air makes me stronger every time Just being alone in the crowd With a song, singing Alone in the crowd Nothing's wrong City sounds form a music in my mind Every melody I pull from the air makes me stronger every time Just being alone in the crowd With a song, singing Alone in the crowd Nothing's wrong Alone in the crowd With a song, singing Alone in the crowd Nothing's wrong
