This is awesome! This actually means the engine of this plane is powerful enough to keep the plane from stalling, almost hovering, at incredible AOA! Man, I just falled in love. ^^
I have the Piper PA18 just for FSX and have a lot of fun with it... I wish i could get one of those when i get old enough to get a PPL.

Yes sir you can buy the Slat Kit on their website just do a search for turbine cubs on google and you will find them. The slat kit is very inexpensive and enhances the control of the aircraft greatly! just look around and see what TCOW customers are saying about the Slat Kit and the Mackey SQ2 performance. You won't go wrong with this awesome kit.
it seems us youth are getting more and more into aviation. im 15 and have my license. i SOO WANNA get a cub, but these old things can be expensive
ive flown a glider a few times yes, but i fly "ultralights". but they arent exaclty ultralights becausethey are a little on the heavy side. its fun all the same, as long as im in the air

thepilotboy you ought to take a look at the Belite aircraft ultralight. It looks absolutely identical to a cub, with similar performance, yet it falls under FAR pt. 103, meaning it can be flown without a license or physical. You are looking at about $12,500 to get a fully equipped ProCub with a half block VW 4 stroke engine and full electronic instrumentation. I am strongly considering buying one for myself.

It seems as though it just can't rotate far enough on take-off to squeeze every ounce of lift out of those wings until its around 10 feet off the ground. Landings could be better also perhaps by adjusting the angle of incidence, if cruise speed isn't too important. Sweet plane though.
is this wing design going to be available to buy? i'm kicking around the idea of building a cub replica from wood or composites and a big super STOL wing would be a great addition

here you can start lessons at 12! and get license at 14!! for small aircraft like that one
