Not gonna lie, jack looks more badass with long hair and a beard, I just wish they kept this look and the future samurai armor too when jack got his sword back
Same I was kind've disappointed because the concept art had him wearing it and I thought it looked badass with the beard and long hair and everything but I still loved the ending and when he got his sword back he instantly went back to normal but I still loved season 5
Jack the Samurai faced off a group of professional mercenaries and a princess forced to AKU's bidding just within a droplet of seconds. He's no ordinary samurai.
Figured he had to find himself a girl eventually. But what was more entertaining than watching him actually get a relationship was watching half of tumblr whining about him getting a relationship.
Ever heard of a butterfly effect? Now get ready for the ladybug effect! I wonder if she would have killed him if it wasn't for that ladybug flying in front of her.
This man has been alive in the future for 50 years, has gone through 25 training, faced down a Evil Tyrant, and slain several Cyborgs Robots and people, so I’d imagine he would grow quite the patience
The ladybug scene at the end was one of the most pivotal moments of the series. I'm not sure why you cut so much of that brief scene out while leaving long parts of other scenes in, a lot of the context was lost and it was a key turning point of Ashi's character development.
I was really annoyed Jack didn't get his well-deserved, perfect happy-ending. Guy suffered 50+ years for his family. Edit: Yes, guys. I know about the game and how it has changed the ending now.
I wish more writers would realize there's just nothing wrong with a happy ending sometimes. You don't always have to try (and a lot of times fail) to be deep and impactful with some sort of "realistic" tragic or bittersweet ending. Sometimes it's ok to just have everyone live happily ever after.
@Hellen Mek I mean of course he could but ashi and jack have been through so much. I mean they actually managed to kill Aku and stop his reign of terror from happening. Jack cannot share something that special with anyone else ever.
You know what I love about the mention of acupuncture? It's a pun inside a pun. Because... Acu- -> Aku, -pun- -> pun, as well as puncture with the barbs.
I actually think the ending, while sad, can help us a little. By help, i mean it can help some people understand moving on and letting out. Jacks story is tragic, not only being sent back in time by Aku but falling in love with a daughter of a creature that he was destined to kill. It made sense that Ashi wasn’t going to survive the end of the series, but the time they spent together…it was nice. They didn’t discover anything that said “Oh here’s something that’ll help you stay in my time”. No. Aku died. So did she. I think sometimes we need to understand that characters that we’ve grown up with don’t always get the storybook endings, and that’s okay. We can always want those things for them but they won’t always get it, and writers can’t always give it to us. The ending was….melancholy I would say, not traumatic. Not heartbreaking.
He did his duty to the end, even if it cost him the love of his life. This is what being a Samurai is all about. The ending the series had was tragic, but still absolutely beautiful. Better yet, it was in keeping with Jack's character arc, of living the Samurai life, of sacrifice and duty at all costs. He did his duty to the end, no matter what price he had to pay. He finished the job, killed the monster and saved the world. He did what had to be done and I appreciate Mr Tartakovski immensely for not copping out at the end and giving us a forced happy ending. Samurai have no happy ending, not really. They do their duty, no matter how much it costs them, right to the bitter end. They understand the beauty of life, even if it is short and can be miserable and painful.
Jack really is the King Author of Samuari, much larger then life, but is very much a figure that inspires legends just by being. Samuari probably weren’t actually ever a fraction as noble as Jack. that is no insult;rather, it’s a testimony to his strong characterisation, both being an ideal and a character.
Just play the video game they released at the very end. Complete it and the good ending is played. Jack remembers the blue time stone and the MEGA POWERFUL GUARDIAN who was about to smash him with a boulder but the time stone showed Jack coming back stronger and he will travel through time the correct way. Jack and Ashi are happy
Not shown here but I love the scene where they get eaten by the giant creature and Ashi is like "Haha, Jack is as good as dead!" and Jack's demeanor is like "Oh this is just Tuesday for me."
I don’t think so because in one time portal that Jack failed to get to because of the guardian. We see Jack dressed in English king Armor. My guess is that he is still immortal and he will become king of the world. Or at least of the entire continent. Or something along those lines
What pisses me off is that even though we got an ending to one of the best shows ever they removed the true ending which was Jack fighting the blue guardian to get to the time portal.
I loved how much more personality they gave Jack and that they added it from his journey but one question still remains . . Where exactly was Ashi hiding that chain sickle?
RW:Funny I am somehow seeing Samurai Jack talking to a sort of evil version of twilight sparkle like like when she becomes controlled or influence from the wrong side, and btw how many daughters of Aku are there?
