Halifax shipyard workers protest toxic work environment

  • Hundred of workers at Halifax's Irving Shipyard walked off the job today, angry about the way management is treating them and what they call an oppressive work environment . Ross Lord reports.

    its all true the worst place to work ever
    sad but true its always been like that with irving and always will as long as irving runs it
    a real shame to me

    Sad to hear about that type of tragedy...but these tradesmen are being taken for suckers working for huge paycuts compared to other tradesmen of similar nature in oil fields....irving laffn all way to bank how cheap they all work for him.... these guys are all yes men because they want job at home scared to stand up for themselves their union is misrepresenting them keepn their wages so low its pathetic he will have hard go to get real good tradesmen to work for him for wage they offer a welder pipefitter at irving refinery makes 13 and hour more than pipefitter at shipyard.....time for them to all wake up
