    Sorry to say but i think you need to pose it more like “my take is…”, not “Cruz…”You are projecting a lot of your political opinions (great ones I might add) onto the character of Cruz. Many of us don’t think she did and said what she said because of the points you put forward.

      I think Cruz was mostly upset about hurting the woman she loves but she is also uncertain whether what she did was right. I think her anger towards Joe is misdirected because no one made her accept the mission. She actually fought to get it. Also, no one made her complete it either. She could have ended the whole mission when she turned off audio, but decided to continue it until the bitter and deadly end. I hope in time Cruz will accept full responsibility for what she did and continue to be an effective, competent, and deadly soldier. However, her reference to only affecting oil prices may mean more complex thinking is behind her anger at Joe and doubt about what she did. Hopefully, there will be a second season in which we will learn whether Cruz has really turned against the U.S. military or was just angry and upset. As things stand now, I think she will quit it.
