When I was a 81mm mortarman in the USMC, used to get that crap under my fingernails because cardboard tubes that the mortar rounds came in were wrapped in paper soaked in the stuff... and I was stationed in 29 Palms, so it was very soft from the Mojave desert heat. Hated the gooey mess!

I actually picked up two demco full size 20.5 20cv blades for 150 bucks each on bladehq. Both are gray g10, just different blade shapes. Was shocked how cheap they were since the closest price I've seen was for D2 or aus steel.
I absolutely love my Shark Cub with Sharkfoot blade and Titanium scales. Its a beast for its size which makes it a perfect edc for me now. I personally do not buy any knives with only thumbstud deployment. I much prefer a cutout or flipper personally. Reverse flick is my favorite method of deployment overall.
There are full sized 20.5 drop points at BHQ for the same price. I snagged a black/grey g10 when they were in stock. Full price was $275. Insane value

Ultem is junk. Dont be fooled. Drop it on the ground a couple times, it'll crack just like any other plastic. Back when i was into "High end" vape gear, there was a big ultem fad just like now with knives. At least it's not piss colored this time 😂
Facts
This is exactly what companies do. They need to move the product so they boost marketing and hype it up even though it's just another plastic that is susceptible to cracking and breaking. Ugly as hell too imo lol

Been eyeing that one too. I picked up the 20.5 slicer model, bigger version. Also 20cv and 119$ . Love it. Put some goat scales on it, and turned it into a reeeeal nice one.

Ultem is very tough stuff. I used to use guitar picks made of it. I’ve never cracked it. Nice knife!

@@gregkollaeg2365 Personally I think it would be best used as an inlay on a scale of another material, although on a smaller knife it's not that big of a deal. My Spyderco Lil' Native Wharnciffe with RGT Ultem scales is fine, but it's got full steel liners. I was very careful installing the scales and didn't need any Loctite.

It's just plastic like g10nis just plastic. It has some really cool properties, most of which involve it's resistance to chemicals which isn't amazing for knives, but it's really strong and stable for it's weight and has a cool semitransparent property

You want patch! I bought the d2 (k110) version from knifecenter when they first came out and it came with a patch and zipper case. Idk if they still come with it or not?
They don't! I bought a 20.5 last year that came with a patch but it doesn't look like they do anymore

Just be aware of the ultem. Dont over tighten the screws ,don't use do as this one guy did and use brake cleaner to clean the ultem. And you should be fine
