Operator Replacement Suggestions (ORS):
Surtr: S3 M3.
Haze: Any ST Caster.
Kroos: Any ST Sniper.
Melantha: Any Guard.
Fang/Plume: Any Vanguard.
Arene: Any Ranged Arts Guard.
Gavial/Sussurro: Any ST Medic.
Myrtle: Any Flagbearer. E2 not required.
Beagle/Gummy: Any Defender or Guardian Defender.

I've been playing AK for over four months, and DV-8 is the very first boss stage I've ever beaten, just now. I used your guide for my clear, and I managed to do it in just a couple of attempts.

Ngl boss fights make my brain fizzle. I got through the rest of the event on my own, but this guide really came in clutch. Thanks a lot!
Surtr M3 is not strictly necessary, but she should be at level 70 to get the first attack volley and especially the Dor-3 bubbles done in time. Later let Haze help on the second stage and stall the power armor at the end with any guard that is at hand until Surtr wakes up again. Exu instead of Kroos may have played a part too.. Great guide!
On the other hand, if your Surtr *is* M3, if she's at least level 28 she should be able to take the Dor-3 bubbles and the second stage barely on time. Your choice on what to prioritize to make her workable for this stage.
Great job as always. This event seems nice and way less stressfull to clear then Dossoles or Ideal City. Maybe Ex will change that tho. Thx for your work !
dossoles are easier than this uhuh even my no brain can complete it while im still low lvl

Had a panic attack when everyone defeated the Evangelion tetahedron ripoff before it entered phase 2. Thankfully I was able to complete the stage despite the hiccup.
Thank you so much for this, got my first trimmed medal out of it! I swapped Haze to Eyjafjalla S2 since my Haze was being killed by the boss (probably b/c of her mid trust). Eyja being there instead also helped deal a bit of damage to the adjacent mechs, making absolutely certain Surtr could take them out quickly.
And here, I am still get wrecked even though I bringing my 6* lol

huh... well I think it's time to level up surtr a little bit and actually get her to S3M2 to S3M3. I was trying (and succeeding until this mission) to do this event with my rhine labs operators and operators that appeared in the event, but it seems like I need only surtr upgraded to do this stage.
She's worth the M3.

Used Sliverash and Irene (holyshit this game's eager to throw 6-star guards at me)to nuke the boss out of existence.

Im a newbie, is there any operator to replace surtr? I want to farm at this stage so i dont want to borrow support unit.. I've build galter and lappaland for the guard..
Sadly Surtr is irreplaceable as she is a very strong DPS Arts Guard. You may try with an E2 Guard Amiya or Mousse.

Is tachanka a good replacement for arene if high enough level?
Should be fine. I've seen guides that used Tachanka in it, though you might want to bring a couple of buffers/debuffers along.

I can't tell if this is one of the best designed games or one of the worst.
