Are the world eaters all going to be melee characters?
Probably. There is a sniping WE warband in the 9th ed codex but pretty much, we choppy chop.

Seems like that'll be the only way to balance out their aggression.
Yea, I think Khorne want blood, up close and personal. So, all will be melee.
Kharn will get a plasm pistol shot, that's your only ranged.
I'm hoping the increasing number of high damage low attack melee units might make thoread relevant for GR eventually
I use him in GR and he's pretty helpful with boosting my Flogga, and Ragnar. He also deals some good damage himself. I enjoy him

@@doomgoon8933I actually laughed out loud at this. I've never known anyone actively describe anyone as a Thoread Enjoyer. I always thought it's the sort of fetish you'd keep firmly to yourself, like sniffing shoes or building a Legendary Thutmose to Diamond.
Gonna be a boss at LREs for sure. Blessing of Khorne is already great for LRE format and he fits resilient(mainly Chaos characters, especially for the Kharn LRE), max 2 hit, and melee. Max 2 hit teams can also revolve around chaos(abraxas, archi, yaz) and he will be buffing the crap out of the summons.
World Eaters have been extremely risky but really fun to play in PVP. Stoked to get this guys and put him out there with the smash bros Macer and Wrask!

Azkor is definitely the coolest looking character
Im considerint building him up for the abraxas/neuro/yaz team, since he gets the psychic damage as a demon
I saw the daemon and immediately thought of abraxas passive

I am hoping the 5th member is also only melee. This way we have our first faction that is melee only. And I LOVE using melee units so a faction locked to melee only would be perfect

As long as there are no Grey Knights, I see him in a potential chaos comp against Avatar. He can kill a minion to get the sup buff and through minions (and perhaps the fire) he stacks.
Unstoppable so he can move around is also a big help

How does Azkor affect Macer? I am almost at the end of the FoC campaign and it looks like Azkor might take Macer's place on my team. It looks like they both are self-buffing melee damage dealers. I expect to keep Wrask to protect Azkor but I am not sure Macer is worth the continued support at this time.
I am gladly running Archimatos, Haarken, and Wrask. I am begrudgingly carrying Angrax through the campaign. I am looking for a ranged Chaos character and I can get Toth before Volk or Typhus. It seems like I need to decide whether to put badges and upgrades into Azkor or Macer.
I'd go for Azkor. Really like him
Thoughts? Another character that will be sitting at iron 2 for a year because he's not meta, even if he's fun.
You might need some more non-imperial Resilient characters for Kharn. Depends on your roster... but that's where I'm using him
@@stravblardo2624 that's a good point and i would love to. But i have a whole queue for upgrade which has todo list for next 4 months. With current amount of characters and rate they are added together with a very bad state of in-game economics, his upgrade won't happen in the nearest half a year that's sure, most likely a full year.
His event seems far more difficult than previous release events, are snowprint gradually increasing difficulty on all their events or is it just me? He’s still attainable, but 280 event shards? Thats a bit weird seeing as rares are usually 130 shards to grind
It’s because he unlocks at epic rarity straight away (versus uncommon or rare)

Honestly most chaos heroes don t like. World Eaters really shine. Gives nice buff up.

Be nice using him with kharn.
The admechs became really nice on retrospective with really good end game use in all modes. The world eaters don’t feel like they will have the same fate, too slow and too conditional.

Five passives? Yes, he might see play, but that's a lot of resources for a niche character. Also, DA's need a rework. As do passives across the board.
Feels strange for an eightbound being a buff character. For me lorewise they are machines only interested in killing not caring about their allies.
Nandi sleeping on my boi Abaddon. Hes a monster dude, i use him everywhere. GW, GR, PVP, LRE
You shouldn't, he has virtually no use outside of LRE where his only use is fitting the resilient trait. Even then there are loads better options now. Rotbone, Maladus, Arjac, Azkhor, Corrodius and Yarrick are all better than Abaddon
@@jamiehaslam1465 Dead wrong dude. In LRE he is one of the highest scoring characters, in the new Kharn event he is 4th place behind Revas, Calandis and Imospekh. no big target, min 3 hits, no mechanical, no flying, piercing, power, ranged, no summons, resiliemt and no psychic. He also gives Maladus + Rotbone att. bonus, making them hit harder and heal better. this setup gave me Ragnar with Maladus (L) + Rotbone (E) being only G1, Aba G2 (L). My Maladus on G1 has 772 damage, with A. buff its pretty much 1000 damage, punching almost like a G3. Rotbone healing around 1000HP more. PVP doesnt need to be discussed, hes decent here, oneshotting others with his active.
For GR he can be used since he is 5hits and ranged, also pretty tanky I use him with Bella against Screamer for example. Of course there are better options if you hace them like Calgar. I dont.
The characters you mentioned I dont think are better, but more in the same ballpark best case. I only have Maladus, Rotbone and Arjac anyway of those you mentioned and Arjac is nowwhere near as usefull as Aba.
@@jamiehaslam1465 I don't have Abaddon, but is Arjac really better? As I can't say I really rate Arjac all that much
Having all world eaters having close range ally buffs on their kills while also making them all melee is the coolest option imo.
I want to feel like my melee bois can have fun in arena against the summon spams by overpowering instead of overwhelming.
