When Lenny is older, a harness attached to the safety line. One of my friends is a twin. Her Mom had 4 kids, three years apart. Melissa's Dad would race his sail boat from Seattle to Victoria, and her Mom would sail single handed with 4 toddlers to join. She swore by the harness and safety line.

I’d like to see a video of your plans to make the boating life safe for little Lenny, when he starts to crawl then walk. Because I’ve raised three kids and it’s challenging on land. You take your eyes off them for a second and they’re into something. I couldn’t imagine trying to raise a child on a boat. Love you guys ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Indeed!!! Just thinking about a scenario of "Lenny in the water" is horrifying. Watching Riley and Elayna carrying Lenny while the boat is moving makes me cringe a bit. Baby proofing to eliminate the possibility of baby over board is the main order of the day I would think.

WHITE NOISE Happy to know you are in Florida I live close to 17th Street. That little Lenny is a doll! Using white noise helps mom and Baby sleep. As a nurse I would block out noise when working nights.
You won’t see this probably. I’m a free diver /mermaid. 2 spinal injuries (crushed cervical) followed by chronic pain, and then bed/housebound last 9 months by ME/CFS. Riley, just get a couple fibreglass rods or bamboo stalks and lash them to the Underside of the bimini or whatever, to hold the canvas up, like the bows on a Covered Wagon-top. That's no disrespect to you guys as parents, I've watched you two for years I know y'all are great people. IDEA for your bimini Riley - get some BATTENS (flexible fiberglass) to the right width to push that up a bit - then take them down when not needed. You should be able to jam them into each end to make them stay... maybe. Also the BEAN BAG is brilliant! for babies and drunks and high seas. Our babies slept like rocks when at sea in bean bags. and that Lenny has a great smile! :)
HOW FUNNY... We are proud patrons of SLV! We live in Florida. The canal video of the private homes you shot by the 16th Street bridge in Ft Lauderdale... that is my parents home. We couldnt believe it when it came on the screen. I grew up boating and fishing from that dock. When I daughter was this age and sailing with us, we bolted her car seat into the cockpit. That way we were both free to help with maneuvers and she was happy to watch us and then fall asleep

I becoming more and more envious about living on a Catamaran! I love our monohull, she's our home but am seeing life on a Cata has a lot more homely space.
Riley, over the years with water pooling on canvas issues, I've used these 2 inch flat (rectangle) fiberglass rods. Cut to a few inches longer than the area of concern and as they bend upward they keep water from puddling . I would also recommend cover the ends with a rubber tip to prevent them from poking through the canvas. I know West Marine and many other companies sell them all over or eBay should be east to find.
Rally for the water pooling on the tarp you could get a long wooden dowl and cut it to length and attach it like a strut, a bit like a beam in a old house😜🏴
Do you guys have a personal floatation device for Lenny incase something happens. I know they make them to turn him and right him with his head out of water every time?

A couple of hoops made from 25mm black poly pipe stuck up under that cover when it rains will stop the water sitting. Lenny looks like he has taken to cruising like a duck to water. Cheers mate 🍻

When I daughter was this age and sailing with us, we bolted her car seat into the cockpit. That way we were both free to help with maneuvers and she was happy to watch us and then fall asleep

1/4" dowel rods spread 12" apart painted the color of your canvas; mate.
Riley, over the years with water pooling on canvas issues, I've used these 2 inch flat (rectangle) fiberglass rods. Cut to a few inches longer than the area of concern and as they bend upward they keep water from puddling . I would also recommend cover the ends with a rubber tip to prevent them from poking through the canvas. I know West Marine and many other companies sell them all over or eBay should be east to find.

Rally for the water pooling on the tarp you could get a long wooden dowl and cut it to length and attach it like a strut, a bit like a beam in a old house😜🏴
