The reason he hasn't gotten into any major trouble since he found out he had a kid is because the kid genuinely means something to him, and he can't afford to give people opportunities to throw dirt at his name anymore because it can have a bad effect on his daughter. I'm glad to see he genuinely cares about something, an extension of himself.
This is why people should reserve judgments and give people time to learn from their mistakes, with age people change and Chris has definitely learned from his mistakes and is way mature now.
