The Cube represents society, it is chasing every individual who doesn't fit the standards of society. Here V is half blind, IU is deaf and mute. So they are running from oppression of society. The world is controled by these standards of perfection to the point that people in South Korea put masks on when they don't have make-up or when they feel unsecure or they wear hats when their hair is messy. The MV is a dysopian view of our society. While they are trying to hide in this abondonned place filled with the clothes of people who died because of this oppression, they find a camera that allows them to have an illusion of what their lives could be if they were "normal" by society's standards, it starts with their looks, they could see how they would have looked like, then what they would eat, then they start to feel the illusion a bit too much to the point they beautifully imagine that IU could sing and V could sing as well and she could listen to his voice, they could marry each other and just have fun and eat whatever they want because they wouldn't have to care about society or any other kind of oppression. However, as soon as they feel a little bit of confort and try to live their life, the Cube (society) finds them again and push them to retreat and flee again, but the Cube managed to find them again, they try to survive against it and try to fight it as hard as they can, but they cannot beat a stronger system, they just give up but at least they stayed together until the end. Even if they died at the end, they loved each other deeply, it shows that even if society is oppressive, people can love each other and they can find their soulmate even if they are not "normal or perfect" to the eyes of some many others. The pile of clothes is like from Spring Day, these people died because of injustice, but they deserved love, so the pile of clothes can look very gloomy and sad, but as in Spring Day MV if you don't forget them you can seem them happy and free where they are now.

When those Polaroids came out, they were captured by the camera. It's when they looked through the camera with their own eyes that things were changed.
The camera didn't change things, IU and V did.
I don’t think they were just taken away because you can see in a couple of shots at the end where they’re holding each other that IU’s hand looks like it’s steaming, like they’re literally evaporating into thin air. I started crying at the beginning when IU put the camera on V, he looked so vulnerable and then when V put the camera on IU she too looked so vulnerable as she pretended to take a bite. They both portrayed every subtle nuance of emotion so well I genuinely couldn’t contain myself and by the end I was outright sobbing…we’re not pathetic, we’re human yes?

I think the one camera they were using that showed bright pictures was showing what they had wanted the world and their lives to look like. The camera they used for their wedding pictures was a reality of what their lives were really like and that not all was perfect like they had wanted it to be. Even when the box took them away they decided to go together rather then have one live without the other

I had the same reaction, Myana it's a compelling emotional ride. Not quite sure how IU did it but even not being fluent in Korean I completely got the emotion. Talk about a tearjerker. Just a magical synergy of all the parts combining together to sort of just grab you in the throat emotionally. Well done IU, I have mad respect for her colossal, one-of-a-kind talent! Tae-hyung adds a perfect dimension to this dystopian mini-movie! WOW just WOW! Time will likely show that THIS song will be one of IU's top all time hits. In a gray world that is growing colder with evident hostility and indifference, it feels absurd sometimes to hope that one can win with the invisible weapon of love.

By the way, for this album which contains five tracks, there are two songs which I dedicate to my loved ones, especially to my fans, and one of them is ‘Love wins all’.
From the age of 18, when I suddenly received great love that changed my life overnight, until now - there hasn’t been a single day that I didn’t imagine it ending. It feels vaguely lonely, scary and I thought it was a natural thing to happen. However, upon thinking about that everyday for over a decade, my attitude towards it started to change little by little.
Right now, it doesn’t scare me that much anymore. I don’t think I will feel greater regret nor loneliness when that moment comes. Above all, I don’t think it is coming anytime soon.
The reason why I, a pessimistic child full of worries, was able to change this much in the meantime is because I have people who tirelessly reassured me every day for the past decade. Thanks to them, looking back, I have never been alone even just for a moment in my life as IU.
